All the contact on his pitches was very good.

This is not going to end well if we can get to the playoffs.

You can see it on his face he has no confidence. Needs a 3rd pitch. They are sitting on his fastball.

That was a perfect outcome. Kimbrel looked fucking awful and the Cubs still won. Now you can officially pull him from the closer role and throw him the mop. Cody Allen will be just as awful when he shows up. Bring up Burl already!!!

Will they have the balls to cut him? I mean Ross has to know and so does Theo that he looks done. if we can see it as fans they for sure can see it as baseball people.

Burl was drafted this year in the 2nd round. They have him on the taxi squad in South Bend. Huge fastball and curveball and has been developed exclusively as a reliever. Why the hell not.

They won't cut him. They will remove him from the closer role and all pressure situations...hopefully. Give him the mop up role and see if he can string together some successes.

I feel like the teams the Cubs are playing are sleepwalking thru the games.

Also, Kimbrel's struggles are somethin else. 2 HR's in the 9th.

Youd think a 6-1 game would be a perfect spot for him and he still coughed up 2 long balls.

His stuff seems good. Good velocity, movement on his fastballs. Kinda hard to believe he is getting shelled. It's not like he's throing batting practice out there.

Theo's free agent signings and trades have been suboptimal.

Bryant leading off again.

Is Nico the future lead off man for this team?

If Chatwood really did learn how to pitch with his above average stuff then there is still faith in the Cubs.

If he has “figured it out” and this offense is for fear, NLCS here we come
