Why, Is Rodon on the DL? IF so, then sure, Dunning is an option as a starter. Or another possibility is having Detweiller and another guy scheduled for 3-4 innings on occasion and have a bull-pen day every 5th game or so?

Gio is going to crash and burn. He's got nothing. Rodon with a rotting shoulder. His career is probably over.

Nah. Not Gio anyway. And not in this silly season for sure. Not everyone needs to throw 97+ to get guys out. Crafty lefties are still getting guys out. I'll wait until the doctors report tells me what is wrong before I give up on Rodon also. :) :) :)

It’s gotta be Dane Dunning. Can you imagine the boost to team chemistry when you got a guy like this in the clubhouse -

That will last as long as he can get anyone out.

That just creates another hole in what is currently a strength. Also I have no desire to expose Detweiller to more innings. Dunning was pushing for an MLB role before he was hurt. He had a nice spring/summer camp. He's 25. I think he is capable of getting MLB hitters out. I don't know how many innings he can go per start but I think he can competently fill half a game.

With a shortened season and a quality bullpen full of good arms, I'd consider rolling with a 4 man rotation and keeping everyone on tight pitch counts.

They’re calling up some pitcher named Brady Lail to take Rodon’s place. His minor league resume is atrocious.

Brewers favored tonight. Sox have 5 game win streak and Lucas on the mound. What gives?

Induces a lot of ground balls.

Should be another great game tonight.

Good thing the Sox aren't a boom or bust offense.

He's making life easier for the CFer by hitting it so far out... no need to chase or look at it.

That crashed so loudly 430 feet away, the CF got a concussion. And Woodruff got whiplash.
