That's always gonna be the thing that holds Moncada back. His constant balancing act between patience with a need to be aggressive is going to lock him up like that in big full counts. He's an effective defender and certainly produces enough on base percentage and power to be an effective member of the lineup, but just contrast his at bat to Jose's.

Abreu is just a natural run producing machine. Goddamn what a bargain that contract is going to be, he's still by far the best hitter on this team (at least until Eloy starts really clicking).

I don't know who the best hitter on the team is but I love Jose up in clutch situations. The guy is a real professional hitter.
