I ate at Subway a lot as a poor graduate student, but that was when they were fairly new to the Midwest and had some standards.

For the last 13 years until I moved last year, there was a Subway a half block from my office. At first, I'd go twice a month for a special, then Potbelly opened in the Rookery Building and that was the end of that. (And when Revival opened, that was the end of Potbelly)

No one ever looks at teh clock at noon and says "gee I can really go for Subway today". No one. It's easily the worst sandwich place in the entire USA if not the world.

I was a huge Subway customer 10 years ago.

Every year that place gets worse. At this point, Quiznos is better. And Quiznos made me sick twice.
