never understood the appeal for Hughes. Unless you want to be completely bored and uninformed on the radio. I guess he is like his hero Jon Miller. HOF announcer who I also never got his appeal. boring as well.

hughes problem for me is he's on radio but he acts like he's on tv. im sure they teach you as a radio broadcaster that leading into an inning and ending an inning tell the listener the score and what inning the game is in. Hughes hardly does that.
