Sweden basically didn't respond at all and they have been vindicated entirely by that decision.

Yep, but the loudest voices in the room are all the idiots that put this shitty leadership in place. And too many of those same loudest voices shout down everyone who doesn't suck at whatever ideological teet they endorse. Personally, I hate the far left and the far right equally. I'm sick of all of them. As useless as I think Trump is, part of me wants him to watch those whiny fucks have another meltdown. But at the same time, if Biden wins, the Teabagger Party types will have themselves another meltdown, although it may be tempered because Biden is an old white guy like they are.

If the loudest voices in the room had any actual ability to self reflect, they'd realize how shitty they all really were.

I agree with you to a large extent but there was no louder voice than Cuomo and he seems to have gotten a handle on it.

Ideology aside Trump is an idiot and never should have been allowed near the White House. Its just sad that it took this incident to illustrate it.

Because Corona blew through his population and there's less people to infect. He didn't get a handle on shit.

New York State has about 25 million and NYC has about 9 mil. That's a helluva lot of population to blow through.

Its not the government holding you back from living your life normally. Its the tattle-tale class of Karens and internet sleuths who are constantly on patrol for people living outside the bounds of their behavioural standards. They have everyone, including politicians, deathly afraid of being caught up in the great internet cancel machine.

The problem is what government has done, not what it hasn't done.

We could all live our lives in a normal way today if we wanted to. It's the government that is stopping that. And as Southern Continent mentioned, the faction of society that demands 100% safety pressuring the Government to make these terrible decisions.

There are actually "experts" in positions of power insisting that schools must not open until there is zero transmission. How the hell is that going to work?

As has been stated MANY times, it's very contagious. The head of CDC said a month ago, "whatever the official case total is, times it by ten". CDC then officially came out with a 6-24x factor. NY metro was particularly hit hard at a time when testing was spotty. 300,000 cases x 15 is 4.5 million.

If Denmark had Sweden's population this would come out to four thousand more deaths. The vast majority of whom were already on the way out anyways.

Those four thousand deaths are the cost they paid to have a functioning, normal society.

Also what were the ages and underlying conditions of those who died.? If an unhealthy 80 year old catches a cold I would bet they are in trouble. We don't shut society down every cold season.

What a shocking affront to individual liberty! Will those troubled by the constraints on personal freedom imposed by mask mandates express their outrage over the constraints on personal freedom imposed by this anti-mask mandate?

So he's young and fit, he gets it and most likely survives...oops gave it to his mom and dad...sucks to be them. Survival of the fittest and all.

What a douche nozzle.

Or he’s young and fit , he gets it and most likely survives....oops gave it to mom and dad . They too survive it like 99% of people do. Doesn’t really suck to be them . Survival of the fittest indeed.

Maybe he gets it and survives it but maybe he doesnt see his parents or any other old people for a while. Kind of crazy to think that one can not wear a mask and still protect the old and weak. I think there is a middle ground here that can be good for all.

Cousins has the right mindset...no surprise he's now on Julie's enemies list.

He still sucks as a QB.
