PulpFiction was legendary, and I loved Jackie Brown as well. Robert Forster, Jackson and DeNiro all hit it out of the park, as did Pam Grier and a super-sexy, beautiful bare legs-for-days Bridget Fonda. Chris Tucker also did a very good job in his role.
Tarantino's star has fallen for me after he started doing historical re-writes-slash-underdog-comeupppance-deliverers, though (Basterds, Django, Hollywood). I find that lazy as fuck. Those movies lacked certain unique elements that his earlier films had.
IMO his last good movie was Hateful Eight. Loved the camera work and the suspenseful scenes.

I think that Tarentino movies really aren't for everyone because of their violence and grossness. For me, his movies get better when you see them a couple of times. They sort of grow on you. You said that you didn't like Hollywood. I loved Hollywood for its humor. I loved the scene at the end when Pitt sent the dog on
Tex" and the dog went after his package. And then when he took "Squeaky's" face and rammed it into the phone and the fireplace mantel. Great stuff. OF course when DeCaprio turned the flamethrower at the pale faced hippy was a classic.
And you said that you liked The Hateful 8. I really didn't like that movie at all. It was just too dark for me although Bruce Dern was terrific in it.
I guess it is what you think is funny and what you like. But Tarentino truly is a genius in the art form.
