Nah

He just plays in an era designed to facilitate scoring. It's just another lazy observation from that fat ass. A cursory glance at scoring trends reveals what I think are some fascinating facts.

https://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/p ... 2020-08-18

This year, ALL teams in the NBA averaged triple digits per game. In 2003, which is not considered to be part of any kind of defensive era, only two teams averaged triple digits. Put in perspective, Dallas' 104 ppg in 2003 was the highest ppg average in the entire league. This year, 104 ppg would get you second to last place.

All individual stats in this era have to be put in this context. Donovan Mitchell's 57 points or whatever a few days ago would probably be 31 back in the early 2000s, and high 20s in the 90s.

It's a boring answer but it's obviously Michael Jordan.

They're oh yeah this era definitely but I wouldn't even say that he was better one on one than Durant if we are just going by guys in this era.

Would James Harden beat Anthony Davis in a one on one game? I don't think he would.

Everyone can score on everyone else these days. I think a better question is who has the best chance to make it hard on harden. At his position (G), not sure who to pick. Ben Simmons if he actually puts in the effort?

Yeah this is dumb. He is not even the best one on one guy in the league today much less ever

I'd say that the best one on one player would have to be able to play great defense and be big enough to keep the bigger man from taking it inside on him easily. I'd say that the best two way player in a one on one competition would be Michael Jordan. Very few players in NBA history were better than Jordan when he locked onto them and no player in NBA history could keep him from scoring when he wanted to.
