I've seen mentioned on Twitter a few times that Javy might still be dealing with a heel issue, but I would assume it would impact his defense. That said, I think swinging at 60%+ of pitches was going to catch up with him sooner or later.

how will they score runs when they do? Usually HR or Nothing offenses don't work.

This is not a little ball team but on that will score a shit load of runs. Look at these guys. With few exceptions, the history of these guys is that they hit for a decent average as well as have a lot of power. Abreu, Moncada, Jimenez, Robert, McCann, and Grandal historically have hit was decent averages for power type guys. Mazara and EE are in slumps but they also hit around .250 or so historically.

Also, this is a very juiced ball league and has been for a couple years now. And 90% of the hitters are using the uppercut type of swing in order to elevate the ball. I don't see the Sox hurting as long as this ball is the way it is.
