Statistically, it's harder to beat a bad team 4 straight and 3 straight than to win a series against a team over .500. Most bad teams still are over 40% wins. Winning series is good for morale, but sweeping is a killshot.

Sweeping and not getting swept wins divisions.

Yep. But those losses were against good teams. Something the NL has only one of, the Dodgers. Face it. The NL is very weak throughout. The talent in baseball is in the AL. Right now the Cubs do not have one starter in their entire line-up who could start for the White Sox. And it isn't even close.

I was talking about position players. They have no starting player who could beat out the White Sox guys. As for Darvish, he's pretty good. Lets see how he does against a team that can hit, however. I'd say that the Sox will turn his shit around in pretty short order. Cubs will have a bit more trouble doing the same against the Sox starter.

It is par for the course. In 2016 you had Sox fans arguing they were better at like 7 of the 8 positions in the field. When you hit 20 plus homers in one week you should win just about every game and the Sox have. When most of your team is hitting below .225 you should lose most of the time and the Cubs have in their last 10.

I wasn't around here in 2016. Frankly I didn't watch a lot of Sox games at all in 2016 and I never watch the Cubs. I am talking about this year and those two teams. That is a pretty bad hitting team that the Cubs have and not a very good one defensively either.

What is funny is that they really haven't had some of their hitters going yet. EE is going to hit a bunch before the season is over. So are Mazara and Grandal looks like he is settling into a groove with good power from both sides. Meanwhile, their best DH is languishing right now in their minor league complex (Mercedes) and their two number one picks are coming next year in Madrigal and Vaughn and a few other legit 100MPH pitchers. This is going to be a great next 6-8 years.
