Yeah, I always thought one of Murph's best ideas (if in fact he came up with it) was having a modified ERA where the fault for a run scored was more equitably divided between the pitcher who put him on and the pitcher who allowed him to score. For example:

Pitcher allows a single and gets taken out. Reliever allows him to score. The first pitcher gets charged with 0.25 earned run and the reliever 0.75.

An inherited man on second would be 0.50/0.50 and so forth.

The other thing that skews reliever ERA is that they often come in with one or two outs. If someone comes in with two outs, it's relatively easy to get out of the inning with no runs charged to them.

Of course, none of that matters I guess because neither Chatwood nor Q got any run support!

First round is a 3 game series. Darvish, Hendricks, Lester. You probably keep Mills to piggyback with Lester, and have Quintana available to pitch long relief in one of the first two games.

In later rounds, I'd expect Quintana to start depending on how the off days line up. If they go to a bubble with 7 games in 8 days, then he will definitely start.
