Yeah. me too. Having him at 9 and Tim at 1 will make for some interesting hit and run stuff.

I love that Singer. Never gave into anyone in that inning. Had poise beyond his years.

Agreed. Ideally you would have liked at least two runs there, but you can't get nothing. That sucked.

Their pen is good but again, I think ours is better.

Again, you have to look at the weakness of the NL and how the Dodgers have been beating up on pretty weak teams. The other thing is their manager makes shit decisions in juggling his staff in the play-offs and can't set a rotation worth a shit.

Who have the White Sox been beating up on?

Dodgers are as solid up and down as anybody and they are the odds on favorite. And rightly so. By the way, Dustin May is another spectacular arm that's made a jump.

Granted, Roberts may fuck it up. But all he has to do is get it in his head that Season Kershaw isn't Playoff Kershaw and that solves 75% of his problems.

I am not exactly worried about the match-up with the Dodgers at this point. Going to be tough for anyone to get to the World Series.

Can we talk about Tim's defense this year? Outside of 2 errors in that game he was clearly playing hurt in, I don't think he's had any errors. Meanwhile he has been turning some beautiful athletic plays.

Abreu clearly worked his ass off on defense this past off-season.

Had an errant throw in the no-no but yeah, he's finally gotten to the point where I'd always thought he'd be.

He also made a play in that game that few shortstops would've had a chance at to preserve it.

It's nice that of the Sox's "pure athlete" picks actually work out. Kudos to him on the hard work and dedication.

The charging out behind second base? Yeah, that's the flip side. He's always had this ability he just needed experience to build his consistency.

It's nice to talk about talent being realized

Its nice to see the cult of youth in sports get turned on its head every once and a while. Who says you cant get better in your thirties? The narrow perceptions of what a players "prime" can be are often way more rigid than the reality

There's also a broader point about American society to be made here too, but I'll skip that...

I simply disagree with that assessment. I don't think that the Dodger rotation is excellent just a bit over average. ANd neither is their bull pen. And Roberts is shit as a manager as far as I am concerned. He cannot set a rotation for the play-offs and the Dodgers have ignored getting a shut down closer and set- up guys for the play-offs. If the Dodgers were in the AL they'd be just another good team heading for the play-offs. I'm not saying that they are bad, but they are not special considering who they play.
