McCann just comes up big. That's what he does.

Moncada is so fragile.

He has been battling the same injury all season. I honestly think they should've sat him for the 2 Pittsburgh games with the 2 off days sandwiching them. Those 4 days would've been the perfect opportunity for him to heal.

Yep. I said that earlier. I don't get it. Moncada needs his legs to hit and you can tell he is off balance at the plate. He should have been rested and that is on Renteria. I don't care if Moncada wants to play. Renteria is the manager and he has the say so. Another thing. He should have gotten Burdi out of there much earlier. When he went into the game he struggled from the beginning. I said it right away. He was missing high and getting under his pitches which was the reason he got bombed. He should have gotten pulled while they still had a chance in that game.

He's got a couple problems. Getting under his spinners, which you said... and that fastball. I like to call it a hanging fastball. Reader calls it flat. Whatever you name it, the hitters they see it well. You can tell by their swings. And you can tell by the 4 HR in 7 innings work.

His problem with the fastball is pretty much the same as with his breaking pitch when he goes to the side with it. When he goes over the top he has really good down spin on it and is dominant. I do love his stuff.

I love how even though Luis clearly is still figuring it out, his OPS is around .900

Imagine what that will look like when everything clicks for him.

I'm for that. He's improved and is an elite catcher right now. Stone was talking just now about how McCann has talked to Grandal about improving his pitch framing which he needed to do.

Just was thinking that. You have the money and the playing time available for him the next couple of years.

Re-signing McCann comes at the cost of signing a starter.

Not the guy who threw the no hitter?

Why would Giolito straight up be the best trade of all time? No, it was the "throw in" that made it great-EST. The Nationals really, really underrated him. This is a guy who has a knack of figuring it out and has at every level, including the SEC.

That was bad and it turned into a run.

You could time Cordero to the plate with a calendar.

Nice pitch by Marshall to strike out Soler.

I don't think so. EE's contract will be gone and so will Gonzalez's contract. They can do it.

Yesterday and today they've had a lot of baserunners left on base. All of sudden they have a clutch hit shortage.

I am really sick of Benetti and Stone talking about first place. For cripes sake say it once or maybe twice but enough is enough.
