An interesting dynamic going on right now on this board is that there has been a really good discussion going on now for several weeks amongst Sox fans and to some extent Cubs fans interacting with Sox fans. And several of the participants in those discussions are conversing and arguing civilly and without much malice and hatred while at the same time throwing hay makers at each other regarding the political crap going on in this country.

I find this very interesting. Perhaps we all have so much racial crap built into our psyche that we will never get rid of it. We all are so locked into our beliefs that nothing will ever wipe it clean. I am no idealist and I am as bad in this aspect as anyone else here. Frankly we all are full of shit in one way or the other and race has warped us all in one or several ways.

I will also tell you this. I've pretty much have slowed my watch on the politics on TV. And thank God for the White Sox. With all of the other major sports also reaching into the abyss of talking militant racism, thank God I can watch black guys, Hispanics, and white guys playing together on a field of play where only skill and hustle matter not the tint of their skin and their upbringing.
