Didn’t realize Maybin has been in the league 14 years.

i know right. i know he's been traded like like a million times in the last 2 years. he looks like a young player like 2 or 3 years into his career.

The entire Pirates team should just opt out.

The Cubs need to win the remaining 5 games against these shitheads.

Hopefully a decent Mills start tomorrow and they get out with the sweep and a 6-4 road trip.

I'm hoping for a rainout today. Better to push all the starters back to deal with the Cardinals (including a DH). By the time they make up the game against the Pirates, the Pirates will have finished melting down and they can do a back of the bullpen day and be done with it.

This team is like 85-77 at best.

Love them but they aren’t a contender

Not in the least. They would have to have perfect playoff outings by Darvish/Hendricks and pray the offense could get hit with RISP.

Pretty tough when it's a 60 game season, dumb-ass.

they get too satisfied if they win like 2 of the first 3 or 3 of the first 4. that last game where you need to win for sweep they act like a throw away game. no killer instinct or sense of urgency.

All these games count in a 60 game season.

Now 5 vs STL again. I'm not sure they will take 3/5 here. Last time they did but they lucked out one victory. Lets see.

Conns - make the new thread.

You’re a cute geriatric fuck.

I’m well aware the length of the season, sir.

I put it in a 162 game format for contexts sake.

Go take a viagra

In a full 162 game season, this team would have to play teams from the NL East and NL West instead of feasting upon the bullshit weakass NL Central. This team is 80-82 at best

You might be right but that works both ways in town. The only team the Sox have played they have a winning record against is the Cubs when it comes to playing over .500 teams. A whole 2-1. So if the Cubs are as pathetic as the Sox fans think, what does that say about you?

Twins 2-4
Indians 2-4

So how would they far if they had to play the AL West and East? Probably not much better than the Cubs vs the NL East and West.

AL Central is the toughest division in baseball this year so they would probably fair pretty well. 4th place team in the AL Central is the Tigers at .500 and they would be 5 games over if they didn't have to play the Sox.

Well the AL Central is getting their wins vs the bad NL Central. Something the other 4 divisions would also do if they go to play them.

Cubs have Indians , Twins, Whitesox down the stretch.

All divisions have 2 or more shitty teams.

That's the whole season this year. If the Sox had to go play the Rays, Yanks, Astros, Athletics they wouldn't be as good as their record either.

The AL Central is the best division in baseball. It has four teams .500 or better, no other division has that.

No other division gets to play the NL Central. Everyone else would do the same thing. It is a dumpster fire and the Cubs are capable of fucking it up. Though they will probably limp in as a 7 or 8 seed if they drop 4 of 5 this weekend to the Cards.
