I kind of doubt that any other outfielder in MLB could have made that catch. He got a terrific jump on the ball, Ran as fast as anyone in the game could run laid out and stretched farther than I think any other players could have. That catch should be given as an example of what qualifies as a GREAT CATCH.

after a really bad first few weeks, Grandal has his OPS up to nearly .800 He has been one of the best catchers in baseball the last month and it has shown up in the stat column.

YOu kind of have to wonder about the effect of Covid on players. Look at Moncada and Mazara for example. Total power failure by both. Wonder about other players on other teams and how they have fared in the ABs?

Mazara says he had strep throat for 2 days, then he was fine.

Mazara was participating in summer camp workouts at Guaranteed Rate Field when he went on the injured list July 21.

Mazara said he had strep throat, alerted training staff and “they still made me follow the MLB protocols to make sure everybody was safe.”

“I was only sick for two days and that was it. They took really good care of me and that was it. I was sick for two days and I was good like a week and two, three days.”

Mazara began participating in workouts with the taxi squad in Schaumburg six days agop throat for 2 days then he was fine.
