Theo has painted the organization into a very tight corner. Ricketts, tightened their purse strings BEFORE COVID...

You wanna trade major pieces at the low end of their value? No big time free agent is coming in until major money drops off the books. Even then, big money free agents in baseball only work with a productive, cost effect core and a deep farm system to supplement needs. The cubs currently have neither.

Cubs are in a tough spot right now as an organization

KB should have been moved a year ago, his value is jack shit now. Do not re-sign Rizzo, do not pick up the option on Lester. New blood in here is long overdue.

theo is not going to do anything in his last year. this is what youll be getting next year except another set of bum relievers.

ricketts is not going to spend money for probably another 3-5 years.

The Score gave zero analysis of Theo's blunders, and talentless minor league system. Just constant praising him at every turn.

I hate Ricketts, the whole clan.. Payroll isn't the problem.

other than the Saturday morning baseball show w/ Spegs and Levine, when I try to listen to baseball on the other show's via podcast, it's pretty non-existent.

I've said this from day 1 when wscr got the cubs. They do an awful job with it. they should be like WGN radio back in the hey day where it was cubs 24/7 almost in summertime.

the score acts like getting cubs broadcasts are some kind of afterthought. even when the cubs were on the way up in 15 and 16 they still took this approach to having the cubs broadcast. it reminded me when they had the white sox and really put nothing behind that broadcast at that time.

Only a dipshit would say the minor league system was talentless.. Torres, Jimenez, Cease.. They traded away the best guys.

ya i was going to post this same thing except the insult part.

Theo had talent in the farm system no doubt. he just traded it away in stupid trades. Torres trade was fine as it won us the WS. But some of the other trades we don't need to revisit as we already know how much they sucked.
