Why was Waddle asked to go to Bristol and sit next to Greenie? Why not Jurko if they're looking at their Chicago affiliate for an ex athlete?

Reasons why Jurko deserved it over Waddle:

-Jurko has been at ESPN 1000 longer than Waddle

-Jurko is on a number 1 show in afternoon drive

-Jurko and Waddle were both average NFL players. But Jurko was a better tackle than Waddle was a receiver.

-Jurko had a longer NFL career than Waddle.

-Jurko is smarter than Golic. (Not saying much)

-Jurko played with Favre. That would have helped since it was 4 hours of Favre talk.

You got screwed Jurko. Now Waddle is gonna big a national host for ESPN. This was just the start for him. He'll be filthy rich. It should have been you Jurko. You got screwed.

Jurko can barely make it 4 hours in the afternoon, how do you expect him to do it in the AM?

Seriously though, I think Waddle's TV experience with NFL Network and Fox 32 was considered.

I know. I'm half-joking. But I bring up some valid points. Plus, if they let Golic talk 5 days a week then they could fly in Jurko to sub for him. That would have been a more seemless transition for Greenie. Another big defensive tackle to sit next to him and play the "Pretty boy & Slob" thing.

Also, Waddle is the competition. Like you said, he is an NFL network guy. Why is the ESPN empire pulling from the competition?

I think this was Waddle's first trip to Bristol. I wonder if they took him to the ESPN lab to officially program him; straping him down, filling him with ESPN blood, promgraming his brain.

It would have been funny if Jurko had to go through that process.

Jurko - Hey champ, what are ya doin' to me?

ESPN Doctor - Nothing Mr. Jurkovich. Please relax. This will only take a moment. Here is a donut.

Jurko - Chocolate with sprinkles. That's my favorite. Thanks champ.

ESPN Doctor - We know it's your favorite Mr. Jurkovich. We know everything about you. Please sit back and relax.

Jurko - You know everything about me? What's that suppose to mean? Hey!!!! That hurt!!!! Bastage!!!!

Perhaps they asked Jurko, but he was too busy sippin' his jelly for incarceration in Bristol.

I'm going to ask Jurko to reply to this today. I think I know what he's going to say, but I can't wait to get his reply any way. Nice thread, Beardown. Lively.

They should have brought in Jurko's brother/cousin, the parody guy that they put on MJH from time to time, whatever his name is.

ahhh why bother .
Its typical Tom "I am more important" Waddle Crap .
He is over rated, unfunny smug jerk.
I think his ego is bigger than North,I mean how many gigs has he stolen from people in this town so far .He did not even have the common decency to tell Manegment to pull the t-shirt without his Co Host ,not side kick but Co host .
I see in 2 years he will be doing the show by himself just like North ,too bad he won't go away like that dirt bag

Yeah. You can have some fun with this, Mac.

Maybe Jurko needs to get his agent on this stuff. Waddle pursues a lot of media outlets. Look at Waddle.

-FOX 32's Final Word

-NFL Network

-Pro Football Weekly Show

-ESPN 1000

Jurko, get your agent on some of this stuff. It can be done. Maybe Waddle called Bristol to get this chance.

Look at all of the ex athletes ESPN has on their many outlets. Management could have went to their ESPN Campus cafeteria in Bristol and picked out any ex dumb jock to sit next to Greenie. They didn't cuz Waddle probably pursued this chance. That probably impressed the ESPN empire. Waddle is a real "Go getter."

Call it what you will,I will not nor will I ever be a consumer of what he is selling whether its on tv or radio .
He was over rated as a player and now as a TV/Radio personality.
Like I said before I do not understand what people see in this guy .
He is dull ,boring and kinda mean spirited if you listen to him .
When he was on his other station I was forced to listen to him on my ride home on the train ,it forced me to buy a MP3 player so i could get away from him

Maybe. But he pimps himself pretty good. I think Waddle is pretty good. He's picked up this media thing really well. He's very polished.

He's not that mean spirited. It's all in fun with Silvy with the "gay" thing. Silvy opens himself up for that. That's what the show has become. It's kind of their theme.

MJH were all over Silvy long before Waddle got to the station.

I guess you can take it that way. I can be a sarcastic bastard but I don't look down on anybody. I like to take jabs. It's just a personality thing. I guess some can take it the wrong way. I take it as Waddle just being sarcastic. Waddle seems like he can take it too. That's the key. If you dish it you have to take it.

With M+M being broadcast on TV on ESPN 2 it would be hard to hide the reactions to the gas that is sure to be emitted from Jurko. Maybe it would be good TV, but probably not the kind ESPN wants.

I just dont like the smugness ,plus the taking of money out of his coworkers pockets

I still remember the few games that Jurko did for FOX. Specifically the Bears Falcons game where Urlacher picked off Vick for a 90 yd TD...

Albert Hofmann talking about chemistry. That's good. :D But unlike your namesake Albert, who has enough chemistry to trip the world, Greenie has little chemistry with anyone.

Waddle just expensed his vacation to New England to visit with his pals back at Boston College and his father in law....

Savvy businessman that Waddle.

Let's not confuse activity with accomplishment... I love Jurko (sometimes) but he has nothing to be pissed about. Waddle has thoughts and communication skills. Jurko struggles with thoughts and lacks communications skills... not something you put on your #1 syndicated show.

I only catch the last hour of that show (if that), but yeah, Greenie is a big fan of the filibuster. I heard approximately 2 hours of the Greenie and Waddle experience, and I don't think Waddle got more than 200 words in.

Jurko has mailed it in like Terry "Boring" Boers and just like he did when he went to Cleveland.

It's too bad because he has the talent, not the effort.

I agree, I would have rather seen Jurko then Waddle. I am enjoying Waddle less and less as time goes on.....
