This happened last week. It's so sad. She has 2 kids. She wasn't working.

His wife needs help with money. So if you can spare a couple bucks, it's needed for her. She's got a gofundme.

Yeah. This crushed me. Nobody saw it coming. He was my running buddy from the age of 19 to 24. He was my best friend at that time. Then it was just every now and then that we met up. Cuz he got married and had kids. So it was just texts, calls and a few outings at a bar every now and then. I actually hadn't spoken to him in months when I got the call from his wife. She's a nice lady. I was there when he first met her. We were just planning on getting drunk at a bar that night. He ended up meeting his wife.

I'm only posting it to help her. I wouldn't have posted it otherwise.

A pretty close friend of mine committed suicide when we were in high school. It's been 30 years and I still think about him a lot.

I'm gonna be the same way. We were young when we met. It's been on my mind constantly. It's only been a week. I just think about the goofy kid I once knew. I was a goof as well. So I think about that time. That's where I put myself when I think about him. But life happens and you get older. Things go bad. It went to a dark place for him.

Still, I just think about me and him at 19. That's the way I'll always remember him.

That's terrible news, Beardown.

So much helplessness and isolation right now. Especially with kids. A psychologist who specializes in OCD and childhood issues told me he has so many patients right now that he is having to ration his time to his patients who are doing relatively well, although "relatively" can change at the drop of a hat.
