Reader claimed Trump supporters were child molesters, and he’s willing to say anything to or about you if you don’t renounce Trump in any political discussion. Yet he’s being singled out.

Serious question for Hawk.

In your heart of hearts, do you believe that you could have done better with the VC than John McCain did based on how thin skinned you are here?

The only left leaning posters that come immediately to mind are RR, Nas, LTG, GoldenJet, CH, Tall Midget, and B-Mac (presently banished to the shadow realm). The rest are center or right leaning. Feel free to provide your own list.

Someone (who shall for right now be unnamed) owes me $20 as I made a bet with them via DM that this would be your response. You are so predictable. A broken record repeats itself less frequently.

You have a certain levity to the way you post and interact here that LTG lacks. You have incredible tact in comparison, and you are much more highly respected even by people who do not share your political views or personal experiences. To me it is like the difference between IMU and Joe Orr.

I come here to laugh and bitch about sports. And be a sore winner less often than I'd like. And frankly if it can be light hearted or better yet, the occasional meeting of the minds in politics, great.

I've developed very good friendships with a number of people still here, those running the board, and some who've sadly left.

I realized that I've been overly harsh, if not overstepping the bounds of civility to some I've otherwise thought very highly of, and in the process making this board toxic for myself and some others. For that I sincerely apologize. I wish Antarctica hadn't self imploded again but beyond that there are some that as I said earlier, offer nothing beyond bigotry and vitriol of a young, narrow kid. But others, I'm going to continue trying real hard to ignore them, even in 100% sports threads.

I suspect LTG feels generally the same way, but we have differing boiling points and triggers.

I really dislike that I am back to having LTG on ignore. I hate having anyone on there. I typically never us that function - but he is just unbearable, and that's that. I got nothing but high cortisol levels from reading so many of his acerbic and unwavering ruminations, and, even when he is posting to someone else, just seeing the way he just blatantly disrespects his conversation partner almost makes my stomach churn.

A lot of that stuff I look at and get heartburn. But believe me, it was all on the regular rotation 15-20 years ago. I'm just a guy who appreciates a couple of Vienna Beef dogs every couple of weeks or so.

Had a lot of boar in Louisiana but never here. Maybe if I can make the trek to Sam's place one peaceful day. (BGRBELLY to the new crowd)

The right and the left are nearly identical to me right now. I couldn't tell which side was doing what in Kenosha

I will say Nas and IMU have been complete fucking backstabbing losers during this, which isn't surprising. If you personally know someone, but come here to trash them you have zero class.

How about we simply start here and work our way up shall we?

I've been harsh as well and overstepped my own personal comfort zone in some of these threads. For that I apologize and also for thinking Baez was better then Anderson and Rizzo then Abreu.
Thinking Quintana was a decent pitcher and for believing Theo had an actual plan for sustained success.

I also have one person on ignore. Never confuse he with Reader. There aren’t even words to bother with that differentiation. Reader is a guy you get to know. You share things. You know his real name from a PM and never tell another soul.

I got nothing but high cortisol levels from reading so many of his acerbic and unwavering ruminations, and, even when he is posting to someone else, just seeing the way he just blatantly disrespects his conversation partner almost makes my stomach churn.

I also have one person on ignore. Never confuse he with Reader. There aren’t even words to bother with that differentiation. Reader is a guy you get to know. You share things. You know his real name from a PM and never tell another soul.

Oh the indignation. Coming from the guy who uses alcoholism as a cover for how he REALLY feels about things and people I take that as a compliment. If being a better guy means that I have to ignore who you REALLY are then I guess i'm not going to be IT then.

At this point I'd say the majority of the posters here lean center-right.

The only left leaning posters that come immediately to mind are RR, Nas, LTG, GoldenJet, CH, Tall Midget, and B-Mac (presently banished to the shadow realm). The rest are center or right leaning. Feel free to provide your own list.

The right and the left are nearly identical to me right now. I couldn't tell which side was doing what in Kenosha

Depends on which channel you watch your news.

Serious question for Hawk.

In your heart of hearts, do you believe that you could have done better with the VC than John McCain did based on how thin skinned you are here?

Just my opinion, but The Hawk gets treated like dogshit here and in a very offensive manner just because he speaks his honest mind and then also stands up for himself.

He always gives you a window into his soul when people ask him about his motivations, etc.

What more do you want from him, for him to slit his fucking wrists and publicly bleed-out just so his detractors can take their victory lap?

There are posters I follow closely, because I'm genuinely interested in them, but none of them are anywhere near LTG's list although The Hawk amuses me lately. PittMike and Nuggitt can be ok at times, but as for the rest, they seem to follow around every regular Black poster and I'm trying hard to ignore them and all their victim wailing and whining. But it's mighty tiring around here because it's always the same pedantic, thinly veiled bullshit.

You have a certain levity to the way you post and interact here that LTG lacks. You have incredible tact in comparison, and you are much more highly respected even by people who do not share your political views or personal experiences. To me it is like the difference between IMU and Joe Orr.

I come here to laugh and patriot about sports.

I get ignoring it on some level but I also understand that ignoring only feeds the beast with the WFR's, JLN's, and Hawk's of the world. Chas too though admittedly he doesn't post as often these days. Nas tried it with all 3 of them and was as civil as a guy could get under the circumstances with all 3 and it didn't mean a damn thing to them.

JLN still referred to him as a POS and questioned why he was allowed to run the board.

WFR repeatedly chased him around the board even as it was obvious that he was trying to ignore his sorry ass and it meant nothing. He is still referencing him even after its obvious that he has taken a break from here.

Its what it is I guess. There are many people that I actually enjoy(ed) discussing things with on here but that particular group and those that enable them aren't among them. Apparently I'm not alone either as MANY of the people defecting felt exactly the same way.

That's exactly the pointed sentiment several guys who don't regularly post here anymore have told me. But I'm grateful that you've been fighting the correct fight here still. Just ridicule certain folks a bit more instead of engaging with the worst of them and all will be well.

On a side note KD, I saw a hippie on a unicycle this afternoon in a west suburban town that is related to your family heritage in some way.

Was that you?

Treat other people the way he would like to be treated.
