Crestfallen:
To be brutally honest, I have no need or want for your personal respect. Now, let's get back to your latest attempt for sympathy.
My father was a veteran of the Korean War. My uncle survived the Bataan Death March. Another uncle carried Hirohito out to sign the treaty with McArthur. Hope that clears up any questions for you.
What none of them ever did once in my presence was to seek sympathy for their service. It was their duty, they did it, and were proud to have done so. They never once played "poor me" like you so often do here.
Just because ltg is a windbag, doesn't make it OK, or any less bigoted, when you say he got into college because he was black. No matter what they taught you growing up in Hegewisch.
And if you actually think that comparing a black man to a guerilla is a compliment, I'm at a loss for any response to that.
But it's time to buck up buttercup. Stick the sports sections on the board for the next two weeks. No one here wants watch you keep re-playing the same broken record about how offended you are, while you act like the most offensive person on the board regularly.[/quote]
The Hawk:
Nah. You are giving me a wrongful order. This is an open board and I have done nothing wrong whatsoever. It is you who has wronged me. You have mocked and insulted me and never answered my questions about mocking combat veterans in general and how they would react to the same shit that you threw at me. I notice also that when you get upset you make many grammatical mistakes as well as spelling errors. Your last sentence has a bunch of them. That probably means that you know that I am right and now you are scrambling to bail your ass out because of your immense ego. By the way, Crest, I never compared Mack to a "GUERILLA". I compared him to a "GORILLA" and a silverback gorilla in truth. It was a compliment to the way that he uses his arms to ward off blockers on his way to the ball carrier or quarterback just like a male silverback uses his arms to slap the shit out of another male silverback when they are fighting. It was an ANALOGY, genius wannabee.
By the way, there is a policy in this country's colleges that gives minorities PREFERENCE in getting into these colleges. That is the FACT that I hit LTG with. That was a heated argument with another board member. We have those on this board sometimes. But, you think it is all good sport when he resorts to mocking my PTSD and disability in general as well as calling me a BIGOT but call me out for hitting him back with something like PREFERENCES which do exist and many feel is a bullshit policy. Enough to force a Supreme Court case coming up because Asians have been prevented from attending Ivy League schools because a FAVORED MINORITY, namely blacks, are allowed entry even though they have lower academic records and test scores. I believe Preference given to minorities is wrong and it is really wrong when schools themselves discriminate against other racial group, in this case ASIANS, in order to get less qualified students into their schools.
In your silly view of race relations, you consider my opinion about PREFERENCES as being racist. That's on you and it is your problem, not mine. I do not see race or skin color as a first thing that people are all about. You and LTG absolutely do. I see honor and character as being the mark of a person, skin color is just a result of pigment that people are born with. You wouldn't know about honor and character, though. After all, you say that folks that serve in the armed forces of this country merely do it for the money that they are paid.
