The Sox probably scored more on Detroit tonight than Mitch will tomorrow.

Nice try but not likely.

92-96 MPH fastball from a three-quarters arm slot. Upper 70s curve. Doesn't walk guys.

That's a surprise. I didn't think they would throw him into the mix this late in the season. I assume this was brought about by the Kuechel injury?

Or, all hands on deck. I would except Vaughn to be called up.

Yeah. He’s better than Anderson.

Yeah. He’s better than Anderson.

I don't know if anybody is better than Anderson right now as a leadoff guy.

Dude doesn't get a lot f walks, but I guess he doesn't need them! He iis seeing the ball better than anyone in at least the last 20 years.

Dude has radar installed or something. Amazing also that he just continues to do it year after year and seems to be getting even more precise about his strikepoint when he chooses a pitch out to hit.

He is starting to look like Cal Ripken at the plate, and that is no exaggeration. Huge feat, too, because Cal was a bigger guy, and yet Anderson still has decent power for his size.

I don't know what to expect from Stiever. He's their #6 prospect and someone who I expected would eventually make it here. I just wasn't expecting him here this season so I don't want to write him off if he doesn't deliver today. This is a big step up from A ball he pitched in last year.

He is a Cedarburg, WI kid. He ran for about 350 yards against our high school in a state playoff game. Good for him!!!

That pitch to the backstop was all nerves. Kid got rattled.

I am really getting sick of Ricky bringing Cordero in, in these close situations. The guy has an era in the high 5's. Is it so much to ask for a manager to be able to handle a pitching staff?

Hopefully they can put Rodon in some of those situations if he is healthy.

Stiever did what he needed to do. It's hard as hell to ask a guy who last pitched in A ball to come up to the majors and expect him to do something in a playoff race, but he did his job.

I want to see more of him in the next few years.

Not much else to say as this team is getting things done. Eloy is getting hot again. Timmy is going to win another batting title, and Jose is the MVP

Jumping from single A ball to pros is a pretty big jump -- I think overall he did alright. Gives him a bit of confidence that he can perform at this level.

15 games left but none more important than these next four. Hopefully we keep up the momentum.

I'm fully aware that these Sox have been bumslaying but you cannot just overlook the best record in the AL.

It’s nice not being one of the bums.

No pitcher alive wants to look down the mound at this lineup.
