Classic case of Entercom dumping salary while their business goes down the tubes. That they can also use this to cater the woke mafia, even better.

It was a dumb tweet, but anyone who is familiar with Mac knows it was meant as a shot at her outfit, not a political statement on black women or even women in sports.

Torn on this. Not defending what he did, but living in a society that’s going to be so black and white on canceling people every time they say something they shouldn’t can be dangerous. Reprimanded? Sure. Leave with no pay? Sure. Firing someone over this? Boy, I don’t know. Tough case study for us because Dan has a track record that he will put his employers in sticky situations time after time. Also not sure if this is a case study because there is no doubt Entercomm couldn’t have been happier to dump his salary with no severance.

As for Julie, she’s the sports media version of an ambulance chaser. I’m all for women in sports media (I think Leila could be a good fit with Parkins).

I’m not getting this whole “ great time to dump salary by Entercom” . They just fucking resigned him during COVID. If they wanted him gone to save salary they would’ve done it then . As it is they might have to pay him regardless if he sues .

The bottom dropped out of Entercom since then. They just had a bloodbath last week and laid off about half their workforce in their country and alternative formats. It's not unreasonable to believe they're looking to cut sports costs next. They really, really screwed up buying all these major-market stations; they should have stuck to being Hartford's #1 hits.
