Yeah, he is. Kap's limited in his abilities, but not unlistenable, and Hood is usually pretty great.

Now three weeks into Kap and Hood, it is pretty clear to me they will at least put a dent in Mully and Haugh this fall. The show is solid. They have a good time talking sports -- what a concept.

Put two guys together who like to have fun and talk sports. What a concept. Mully used to be real fun to listen to but Haugh has really destroyed the show with his 'I'm a serious sports journalist" attitude.

Kind of a throwback type show, they actually take callers, and actually seem to be having fun doing the show. The Tunein stream is not as reliable as the radio.com app, it drops frequently when out jogging, but there really is nothing worth streaming on WSCR. Have always enjoyed Hood since the day he went off on Telander back in the day, conflict makes for much more enjoyable radio than the constant parade of guests, hosts, and "experts" that all agree on everything. Already the best sports talk radio show in the market, but likely too old school for today where everyone is offended by everything.

Tuned in shortly before 10:00 and they were talking about Mac. I missed Kap's comments. Hood said women aren't second class citizens and should not be treated as such, and if you don't understand right from wrong you don't deserve to be on the air in 2020.

I don't think Mac's comment was indicative of someone who thinks women are second class citizens and has, as Hood is certainly aware of even if he conveniently acted as though he isn't, has made similar comments about the clothes men wear.

I had a chance to consume some of this show last week. Best show on Chicago radio right now and I'm not even much of a Kap fan

Monday morning and they are purposely treating it like a Bears Monday and happily soliciting calls from listeners.

This is a great pairing and I hope it eventually gets a time slot I listen to more regularly.

I wonder if ESPN 1000 is destroying The Score in the ratings this quarter. All we have is anecdotal evidence but lots of buzz around the Kap and Hood show. Danny Mac getting fired could have been the last straw for many old time score listeners.

Bears post is about the only thing worth listening to on the Score these days, kind of funny because that is the only time the station takes more than one or two callers. Could see WSCR going to a mostly national lineup with local Cubs/Bears content sprinkled in from time to time.
