Publicly no, privately yes.

Anything you can share?

I havent been on the board much in the last couple of days. But this really sucks. Mac was one of the only reasons to listen at all to the station any more. There is no way that this is an offense that was worth him losing his job.

Pre Covid, I liked Parkins and thought he would do well. I am not sure I can stomach that much more of him. This maybe the end of my listening to the Score.

I hope at some point Mac comes on here and lets loose, especially on the red hippo. She is a piece of shit. And fuck Jay Zawaski as well. The whole damn world has lost is fucking mind.

Seems the firing is less about the joke and more about letting Mac - and not the company - get trampled by the mob.

In normal times he'd say this and 1-2 people would be like "haha i know, right" and then we'd all get back to our miserable lives. But in 2020 he's fired less than 24 hours later for insensitivity while Taylor receives boquets of flowers from colleagues on live television. It's a truly bizarre world.

Now there's a successful call.

Update that signature!

Give me some actionable fantasy intel about Bryan Edwards in your Raiders thread and I'll think about it.

She's a sideline reporter correct? Has she ever said anything about players using the word 'patriot"? Because if you are that thin-skinned that you need all this support because your attire was criticized, then how does she tolerate the language on the field?

Not sure. I don't think it's on her if others are going to rush to her defense, exaggerate what happened, etc. I'd hope she would have come out by now and said something like I didn't think he should have lost his job or whatever. As far as I know, this is bigger than Taylor - she really hasn't done anything (to my knowledge).

What did Jay Zawaski do?

I know he's always hated Mac. But what did he do when this went down?

I see a lot of people saying "Fuck Jay Zawaski".

MANY believe he was the one who gave July the scoop on Mac's firing. Plus he has no problem backstabbing and seeming disavowing Mac after his comments.

That's what I'm talking about; her response to this. She's making herself out to be a bigger victim than is warranted.

Whenever I hear about Jay Zawaski, I think about how Bernstein said his wedding was like a birthday party for an eight-year-old.

You have more dirt on the Score than July’s notebook.

Haha, no dirt, it was on the air! It was a Blackhawks-themed wedding at the height of Dan being obsessed with trashing the Blackhawks.

I always felt the Jay thing was that Mack took Shep and Tanny to the new show and he was stuck with Bernsie. Mac shares bonuses with producers. Up until then anyway Bernsie did not.

You really do have an exceptional memory. And I’ll put $50 towards your critical analysis of “Sidelined”.

The only thing worse than having to go to a wedding is having to go to a themed wedding.

Seriously.

That is beyond childish.

I could maybe understand if it’s a cultural/ancestral theme, but Jesus...

Both him and his wife are huge Hawk (well, maybe not his wife after the Kane allegations) fans; they either met at a game or had their first date at a game.

But still very childish.

I just think a wedding is far more important than your favorite sports team.

Do that shit on a birthday.

Or if the wedding is going to be themed, keep it small and only involve friends and family "in" on the bit.

Here is the point for me. If that very same outfit were worn by the daughter of the CEO of Entercom on the sidelines of a football game then McNeil isn't tweeting about it.

If it isnt good enough to tweet about it in this situation then why would he think that it is ok to tweet about it when it comes to Maria Taylor?

The daughter of the CEO of Entercom would not be on ESPN doing reporting multiple times during the game

Are you saying he wouldn't do it because it is the daughter of his boss that nobody knows?

I agree. I'm sure he wouldn't.

But this is a person that any college sports fan has been watching on national television for probably half of a decade.

But, again, I agree I would not criticize the daughter of my boss on the internet.

Obviously he wouldn’t say it about his boss’s or Mitch’s daughter/wife. It’s just human nature. I could see him saying it about Erin Andrews, though.

You don't know that for certain and its besides the point. If she were in any sort of professional capacity dressed like that he would not have tweeted about it. What makes him think its ok to tweet about Maria Taylor in that way?

No, just the cute cheerleader from their alma mater would. See: Erin Andrews and Laura Rutledge. And their sons would be announcing...and told to stfu about the sideline girls.

The reason he wouldn't is because he knows that its inappropriate to do so which is my point.
