I flipped it on. Kasper did a horrible job explaining what was going on. He never said the drone was gone when they resumed play. They went to commercial. They showed the drone at first, then they refused to show it for some reason.

The drone was naked and then lit the flag on fire.

is that a rick Monday joke?

Probably same reason they don't show streakers...to not give them attention and attract copycats.

They really need to bring those back. I looked forward to rain delays as a kid because of them. Anyone know why they stopped showing them ?

You are correct. I was just doing a stream of consciousness of weird things that happen on the field that they would never show today.

The sox game showed Steve Lyons dropping trou after a slide. They'd blur that out but at the time it was hilarious.

I'm not sure what happened that night. I'm sure I don't want to.

But I have a general sense of the activities.

But, I hope to God nothing was set on fire. That would take it up a notch.

Well, that Cubs win was also a Sox win.

So everybody is happy.

Damn. That was off the plate and Javy still pulled it for the win.

He’s starting to rival Shawon for my favorite Cub behind Cardenal.

I had hoped Schwarber's hot finish to last season was a sign of good things to come, but man he looks lost again. Needs to sit for a few games.

They all look lost. Does Marquee show everyone's OPS when they put up the batting order because they're sophisticated and analytics-minded, or is it because the Cubs' batting averages are all around the Mendoza line?

Jesus Christ guys. They have a 6 game lead with 10 to play.

Look around. Enjoy the view.

They will never show a stat that doesn't involve the golden egg of the organization which is the base on balls. That is what most likely has everyone's swing screwed up. Stop trying to walk. If you see a pitch you like, in any count, hit the shit out of it. The Brewers came up with the blueprint for making them look silly striking out. Start them out with a ball or 2 so they take an easy strike, then elevate a fastball or put an offspeed pitch in the dirt or the opposite batters box. The at bats are painful because they dick around for the first few pitches and take some very hitable strikes and then swing at shit. It took years to instill this garbage and it will take years to fix it.

They may have a 6 game lead but its because the pitching has been outstanding. The offense routinely leaves 20 on base per game. They have pissed away a good 50 plus run scoring opportunities this year with the situation hitting.

This is my big problem with Kyle. I don't know how many times I have yelled at my TV as he took a fastball right down the middle on pitch 1. The idea of grinding out at bats to wear down the starting pitcher and get him out early may have been good strategy 6 or 7 years ago, but with all the power arms in the bullpen, you almost rather have the starter in longer. And grinding out at bats maybe good if you had batters who could foul off pitches with 2 strikes or had a good eye, but that's not really a characteristic of many Cub hitters

I was thinking last night its inexplicable to be 10 games over with many guys hitting near .200 but their obp is much better.

I still have my shirt. It fits like a glove, the glove of a man whose hand is twice as big as mine.

I don't even remember how I got that shirt. I don't think I paid for it. Maybe I did.

I have a ton of Webio stuff they sent me because I sent in an email one day. I thought, at the time, "This is a lot to be giving away for just an email. They really do have a lot of money."

I still have a Webio jacket that Fred brought as swag for the Bowling III event (or was it II). Even then, to me the whole thing seemed very ill conceived and destined for failure.
