I know, I know, but I just cant let it go, another pathetic North update.

Thursday, August 7th

Hi Folks

Well it's been over a month since I was last doing my radio gig and I have to tell you, when your rolling like I was for the last sixteen years on the SCORE and even before that working to earn a living since I was 10 years old, I have to tell you. It's been nice to be off. I'm in no hurry right now to get my next gig going, but anyone who knows me will tell you when I'm ready to go to my next opportunity, I will attack that like I do everything else. Being off has made me realize and concentrate about how tough things are right now for people out there. I wake up in the morning with no worries about money, have good health which means more than anything else. Plus wonderful people around me. I know there are a lot of people out there who aren't as fortunate, and I think about them every day. I like not doing anything right now but I know that's a temporary condition. In the meantime, I hope all you people out there are doing well and that your families are well also. Read Rob Feder's column about Joe Ahern throwing himself a 60th birthday bash and submitting a $5,000 bill to CBS was laughable. Many a time I tried to submit high priced bills, especially when I was on the road and CBS would go over them with a fine tooth comb. Sometimes they were picked up. Other times not. When they didn't compensate me fully for that bottle of Dom I would pay which wasn't picked up. Personally I like Joe Ahern, but I gotta tell ya, how low can you be as a person to try to pay your birthday bill with money from your staffers. He plays polo, walks around in expensive suits and gives the demeanor of an aristocrat. Well you're not flamboyant when you don't pay your own tabs. Talk to you later.

Mike

I wonder how he is doing with those offers, wish he would go back on chicgo tribune live and answer that question.

I like how he says "being off has made me realize how tough things are for people out there." Then, in the next sentence, he says "I wake up in the morning with no worries about money." fuck that guy. I know how it is cause I'm off, but I got no worries about money. Does this guy have to say something that stupid EVERY time he opens his mouth? I mean EVERY TIME?

A month gone by without the $140k rolling in. It will begin to hurt, not just his ego but his wallet.

Did Jen Patterson know he was going to take off the whole of Q3 of this year?

Her self respect and dignity don't pay the rent.

Does this give him time to write his book(s)?

Talk aboot burying the lead, the ONLY reason to give an update was to bash Ahern.

"He plays Polo"- Are you kidding me? Is Pappy trying to keep it real with the commoners.

i.e. Rusty From Stickney, " Yeah I hate the polo types, too."

I guess Pappy's universal love for animals has ecomonic limitations.

This guy continually comes off as the most arrogant and condescending piece of shit this side of The Hamptons. What a fucking low life.

Pappy, Be, Jen, whoever:

Guys, please hire a skilled writer to compose these snippets for you. These "blogs" you publish periodically look like they are written by an ignorant dumbfu** who needs to up the ritalin script and go back to grade school starting at, say, 3rd grade. You may argue that Pappy is indeed one and incohesive yakkery is his way of keeping it real. I respectfully submit, however, that incohesive babble is one of the most unpleasant ways one may choose to present himself to the readership.

Thank you,
Long time fan.

That 'blog' makes about as much sense as Yoggi Berra talking about clubbing while recovering from a root canal.

Mike; for the love of God man, you can't be THAT stupid. Who gives a crap about someone having a birthday party and the company picking up the check anyways?

I really believe he is that stupid. His ego tells him people are waiting for these pearls of wisdom.

He might have a lot of money, but he is still a giant dumb fuck and that will never change. He has become almost unemployable in Chicago radio. THANK GOD.

He cracks me up. I'm laughing while I type. You think he shows these well thought out "blogs" to his potential new jobs? HE'LL NEVER get a job! I love it! Jens no smart tart but she has to see the writing on the wall after reading this and the other "blogs".

"What the fuck did I do?" has to be ringing in her head everyday.

Pears of wisdom they are not and people may not be waiting but they sure provide quite a bit of fodder.

Huh?

His road trips were one of the biggest jokes. Vegas, Boston, New York? For what? So he could sit in the corner of a hotel lobby with Anne, Fred and Jen and talk to Don Cooper? His road trips were paid vacations.

I don't have the numbers, but I am willing to bet Murph's $100 that he did more live shows out of town than in town.

He used to station to gather sponsors to pay for trips he wanted. Then I can only guess the dinner bills he submitted. I am going to guess they were not for $79 at the Red Lobster or Sizzler.

I would like to assign Rodeo as the official Mike North Watchdog as to update us on all of the Mike North developments.

Road trips for morning shows are just plain stupid. Why do them?

But no doubt he's referring to his days at other time slots. Super Bowl trips ought to have been expensive...

He did morning road trips for the WS, Vegas, etc..
You're right, they are stupid, but that fact never stopped him.

Nobody misses him and nobody will hire him for big money nor a drive time slot. He's finished as a player in Chicago. He really is Mr. Irrelevant. Just another washed up has-been.

I remember when he would bitch about how the score wouldnt pay for his booze. Its one thing to take clients out for drinks, but its another thing to expect your employer to pay for drunken binges. North saw the score as a endless money pit and if the way he manages his money, he will be broke soon.

Since Big Fan named me the "OFFICIAL MIKE NORTH WATCHDOG" I was going to do a little history of his blog since the score walked him out of the building. My main focus was going to be how the 4-7 offers turned into a vacation. Anyway, it appears Be-Be or whoever has removed all mentions of offers from his blog   I dont know if its sad or just trying to remove all the lies, but either way, it shows what type of person he really is.

Let me just say that before Big Fan named RodeoVann the offical representative of this site to give updates on North, I withdrew my name-

"cuz I had oder stuff like charitys and stuff like dat. It waznt Big Fans Choice, It was mine. I never worked for Big Fan, he worked for me. I'll be representing anoder message board widin a couple a weeks."

I'm such an idiot.

Go out and get a offer and bring it to me, then we will see what we can do.

It would be great to get the audio of his appearances on Comcast, Mac's show and the Channel 11 broadcast with North talking about all the offers he had!!

Remember how he use to brag how he use to be out all night , every night, at Gibson's till 3am and be hammered to come into the morning shift with Jiggs. Well, Gibson's is what, at least a $400 bill everynight, and maybe that without drinks included. You know this tool did the same thing he is ripping on Ahern about.

But read between the line fellas, what is he really saying : HE IS JEALOUS. He is Jealous that Ahern can still get the company to pay the tab that North use to do ALL THE TIME but now since he's lost his money pit, he can't. You have to analyze this moron like you would analyze a 3 year old kid. The 3 year old kids sister/brother can now ask mommy for candy while the little bastard is in time out and can't any longer. So what does the brat do, try to ruin it for the sister/brother.

How much you guys want to bet his 'vacation' will be over next week when he posts a blog entry again.

Excellent point, Hawaii. This is North bitching about his company not picking up his booze tabs. That is what his post was about. You do have to analyze North like he's a 3-year old.

That being said, it is really pathetic that this CBS exec would have the nerve to throw a 5,000 dollar party for himself. Then pass out a collection plate asking everybody to chip in $100 dollars.

a. I'd be embarrased to throw a party for myself. You must not have any friends if you know that the only way you get a party is by throwing it yourself.

b. Asking for money is a joke. Especially for a 63 year old man. He's got 5k with his job. He's a CBS 2 exec. He's 63. You gotta figure he's banked some of his money. Pay the fucking tab or don't throw yourself a party. Who throws themself a party anyway? The point of these things is if other people throw it for you. Christ, he's 63. Who cares? You're suppose to do these things at 50 or 60 or 70 anyway. Ya know, every decade. I should say family, friends or co workers are suppose to do it for you. Unless nobody likes you. Then you throw your own party to honor yourself. How could you do that? That's just embarrasing.

I dont know how many read the redeye here, but I found this on the 5 on 5. North does it every wednesday, which I confirmed is a free gig. Anyway, this is one of his answers that just cracked me up.

TOPIC 3: THE PACKERS REPORTEDLY ARE SEEKING OFFERS FOR BRETT FAVRE. WHAT WOULD YOU TRADE FOR HIM?

Pappry- Prima donnas don't play for me.

To say Favre is one, takes one to know one I guess.

An update:

Sunday, August 10

Hey Folks,

Well we're off and running on what I think is going to be a fun experience. I've always loved the art of handicapping sports and it's always been a goal of mine to create a site that would not only give people winners, but also make it affordable to the regular guy and hopefully be entertaining as well. Jen and Fred are with me for this project as well as a lot of hardworking technical people who have worked hard to make this site viewable and pleasing to the eyes. Hub Arkush will be one of our football experts and we will bring more experts in for other sports. Oh, I almost forgot- the name of the site is http://www.Dontfademe.com which will debut at 4:00 on Monday. I'm proud to be the spokesman and endorser. This is the first of three or four projects we will announce in the coming weeks. Also want to thank Sam the Man and Spaceball for helping me put this site together. Also our main guy Mr Skin. Oh yeah - Nudity and handicapping. You can't beat it. Good Luck.

Mike
