Twitter, not so much

Facebook has groups, which are almost like the sub forums here (Cubs, Sox, Bernstein sucks cock, etc)

I know what they are and I'm on some. I just think they have a completely different vibe

I've done a few of the FB groups...they're ok, but I don't last long on them. My wife follows quite a few. The local community ones are hysterical.
I was on one for Blackstone Griddle....it was helpful at first, but they have just as many trolls as we do and the newbies refuse to do a little reading before posting "Hey, is this thing good for cooking bacon?"

Yeah, I could see that. There's definitely a lot less telling people to die in a fire.

I'm on a few FB drum sites.

"Should I buy this drum?"is the typical question, with no other information provided.

And "go for it!" is the general response.

Pass.

The best response that one poster here could ever muster...

RIP Douchebag!

Imagine him leaving because the board is "too toxic". The irony.

oh yeah. FB is full of hawaiiyou's and LTG's. You have to be picky and choosy. I basically joined every FB group available and then quickly wittled it away.

If i look at my FB, i have unfollowed over 80% of the people i'm friends with and basically only use it as a group aggregator. like the ole tapatalk.

when the pandemic hit, someone started a local food group so you could support local businesses by getting takeout. was basically a comedy of stupid every day. There were 2 or 3 establishments that would continually spam the group.

"looking for a pizza recomendation"

Restaurant - WE DOnT HAVE PIZZA BUT WE DO HAVE PASTA!!

the page is also basically "where can i get chinese/pizza/burger" questions all night long, rinse and repeat daily. you could see people were just losing it on there.
