Probably should have pulled the trigger on Cleveland Sunday. They finish with the Pirates. But I figured the Sox would win at least one. Hopefully they can get to Shane tomorrow or Plesac Thursday. Twins finish with the Reds who are playing well.

They'll probably be fine because the Cubs won't have jack to play for this weekend, they'll be setting their rotation.

Sox real issue may be setting their post season pitching rotation.

Cubs should be bumping Hendricks back to Saturday to put him on normal rest for game two next Thursday. Unless they want him with 8 days off between starts. Darvish will be going Friday which sets him up for Wednesday. Lester in that scenario would go Sunday.

Even if that happens, Hendricks and Darvish will be on really low pitch counts. Like 3rd inning, tops.

With Hendricks going tomorrow he'll go as long as he usually does. I can see Darvish being limited to 5 or 6 innings Friday.

It has been reported that there are two Cubs fans in the area for every one White Sox fan. So let’s say there are two million Cubs and one million White Sox fans in Chicagoland for sake of argument.

If 25% of Cubs fans care are worried about the White Sox, then you have 500,000 of those folks. If 40% of White Sox fans care about the Cubs, then you have 400,000 of those folks. Simple math suggests there are more Cubs fans that care about the White Sox than vice versa. But in percentage terms, well, I’ll let Frank and RPB figure that out.
