it's called institutionalized fanaticism. I try to change my ways too and it's hard. I root for the sox, i want to. they are a likable team. but from the years/decades/centuries of this institutionalized fanaticism, I still root for them to lose.

like last night, when I saw that hr rameriz hit I got joy of it. why? i should not. i blame our ancestors for this. both sides. and the hooligan fans fan the flames.

I know within the context of losing 5 of 6 it sucks but their ace battling Beibs and being in a position to win the game is a good outing.

Go out and grab a W today and then you get the Cubs, who have been playing just as bad if not worse.

This late season schedule is good for them, win or lose. It can only help come tournament time.

Good news is the Sox have an automatic win tomorrow now since the Cubs having nothing to play for. Still have a shot at this if Reds can take care of business.

i was thinking about the match ups. If they win the division they play Cle at home. I would take that.

If they get the 2nd spot, they host the yankees.

if they get the 3rd spot. they go out to Oakland.

If it's between 2 vs 3, would you rather play the yanks at home or the oak on the road?
