Hey all...just wanted to throw this out there; my sister and my dad and I are gonna be in Wrigleyville and my dad has a penchant for Slugger's for whatever reason, so that's where we're gonna be. If you wanna swing by and say hello, share a pint or two, come on out...it'll be sometime in the afternoon, we'll be there pretty much all day i believe.

I'm actually going to a rooftop tommorow for a buddy's bachelor party. Believe we are getting on the redline about noon, so if you're gonna be there 1ish or so, shoot me a text and I'll have a drink with ya's before the game. Not sure about our plans afterwards, but I'll let you know.

Sounds good. I know we can get to the rooftop at 2, and seeing how much I paid for this goddam thing, I am getting my money's worth of beer so I'm getting up there no later than 1:59. Just let me know where you're all at.

And if you start talking shit to drunken Irishmen, do not expect the pudgy drunkard of a Sox fan to back you up. Not in Wrigleyville anyway

I can make no promises about my behavior for Saturday. By day's end, I will be quite liquored up.

So was it you 3 and 42,000 others at the game and then at Sluggers? Any stories? Cubs aren't doing well last time I checked.....
If you go about 3 bblocks east a wonderful burrito fest is going on....

SO WHERE THE EFF WERE YA???!!

FC and I did meet up, it was one of the brighter spots of an otherwise miserable experience (see DB of the week section) at Slugger's.

Ah, I ended up taking the Woodfield shuttle, and I didn't get downtown until about 2:20. I couldn't avoid it.
I'll come out next time.

Yeah the EL was horrible. Red Line was running above ground all weekend, so leaving Midway at about quarter to 12, I didn't even get to Wrigley til about 1:15.

That's about an hour and a half, not that long. It takes anywhere from 35 minutes or longer to get from Midway to downtown on the Orange Line, then it could take forty minutes or more to get up to Wrigley even on a good day.

The crap that is the CTA is reason enough that Chicago's olympic bid should be immediately rejected. Compared to other large cities' public transportation, it is truly an embarrassment.
