That was my point a couple weeks ago.

Ok, we lost 3 straight one run games to the Indians. We weren't much worse then them. They just won. It's not like we got blown out. And I like that our pitching has been good. So what? We've been losing lately. We were in these games. And we're in the playoffs. I don't care who we play in the first round.

It doesn't matter for this first round. It's 2 out of 3. We could win with our two best pitchers. We could also lose it with their best pitchers. But it doesn't matter who we face.

We got our first round.

Hell, it's still not over for the division anyway. We take 2 out of 3 from the Cubs and we probably win the division. But I don't care if we do.

It doesn't fucking matter this year. Anybody can beat any team 2 out of 3.

Christ. The Pirates, the worst team in MLB, just took 3 straight from the Cubs.

So nobody should be mad. Just be excited about the playoffs.

I'd say with a competent manager we're better than the Indians.

Shit, if we get a 3 run homer in the first few innings, it doesn't matter who's managing. In the playoffs especially (I guess 162 matters more with managers). But playoffs, especially if you get that 3 run homer early, my ass could manage an MLB game. So can you. It's not that tough most of the time. It's pretty much about the bullpen. And you have the stats in front of you to figure out what to do.

I'm not taking credit for this line. I don't know who said it. I heard this a few years ago.

So MLB managers wear uniforms. I heard somebody say it's basically old men wearing pajamas in the dug out while watching the game like everybody else. That line made me laugh.

I think for the most part that's right.

Have the managers switch dugouts this week and the Sox win 3 of 4.
