You didn't address my post, which is everyone wetting their pants over one hot week. They should win around 32 games. They have 14 games left with the awful Tigers, Royals, and Pirates.

I give them credit. The best bumslayers in baseball. 17 -2 against KC, Detroit and Pittsburgh. 9-13 against everyone else.

Tigers are in the playoff race.

It's Stone who is on top of his game this year. Benetti is along for the ride.

Stone is great. I do not understand the love for Benetti. He's fine. If he left tomorrow he could be replaced by almost anyone without a noticeable drop off.

Not really. Have to finish ahead of Yankees or one of the three teams ahead of them in central. Not happening.

They are 2 games back. Of course they are in the race. As are the Orioles and the Mariners.

 Guy just got btfo and is grasping at straws. Fact is, if it weren't for the White Sox opening up an unholy can of whoop-ass on them the Tigers would be in the playoffs right now.

They probably wont make the playoffs but they are undeniably in the playoff hunt. If the White Sox didnt go 6-1 against them they'd probably be ahead of the Yankees.

Dumbass Cubs fans continuing to throw stones when they're not just living in a glass house, but the glass house around them is beginning to completely shatter.

Over the last 20 games, the Cubs are 9-11 and the only winning team they have played during that stretch is the White Sox.

At least the Sox are dominating teams with poor records. The Cubs can't even cobble together a winning record over three-quarters of a month playing the likes of the Pirates and the Reds over and over again.

Damn, ESPN guys couldn't stop talking about the White Sox during the Cubs broadcast the other night. They said they were just getting even, but it sounded like they really enjoyed the team. A-Rod says he wants to do another Sox game on ESPN.

Cubs are 5-3 vs the Reds and Pirates over the last month after tonight over the past month. They did go 5-5 vs the Cardinals during that time. The same team that took 2 of 3 from the Sox after not playing for a little over two weeks. But you left that info out. They have had two bad series (Brewers and Tigers) and have been treading water for awhile.

The Cubs are going to meander into the 3 seed without much further effort, and it shows. Once every other series they beat the crap out of a bad bullpen and then they go back to sleep. There is no real incentive for them to get the 2 seed, and they just have to stay out of the 5 seed and avoid a first round trip to Petco where they've never been able to hit in the Epstein regime.

The White Sox are doing what they are supposed to do: beat the living shit out of the bad teams. They are the Alfonso Soriano of the American League. Their risk factor is that their hitting approach doesn't match up well at all with playing at Dodger Stadium.

Raise a banner for your second place finish. And have a team reunion every other year.

You mean like the banner the Cubs raised for their third-place finish in 2015?

AL playoff picture is batshit.

There’s a realistic path for Sox to play 6 of the other 7 playoff teams depending on what happens today.
