seems like there is a bit of an overreaction

I don't think it's overreacting to expect a MVP in his prime to be capable of playing from the pocket against a likely playoff opponent. He failed in a prime time moment and that failure speaks volumes about his potential to lead the team deep into the playoffs against quality opponents.

Which one of Jackson's amazing 97 yards and four sacks taken was your favorite? Clown indeed.

But see the thing is I know you’re not an idiot, you just like playing one on a message board.

What’s more indicative of future performance, a 25 game sample size or a 3 game sample size?

Down 17-23 against a middling opponent.

Fourth quarter.

Action Jackson time, right?

Three drives. 25 net yards.

Yes, it was raining, there were a few dumb penalties, etc. Every team has those. Do better.

He wasn't great but they had 2 drives killed by bad snaps.

I think you are incorrectly characterizing that as "it was raining"

Regardless, it's still a pattern. You can't entrust him with erasing a deficit. It's an open secret nowadays. He needed to work on his pocket game this off-season and it doesn't look like he did.

Has there even been a league MVP that had such a poor follow-up season? Injuries notwithstanding.
