It was astute to put Moncada behind Jiminez. Must be a Hahn lineup.

He's been swinging the bat good. Not great results but he at least looks hitterish.

Sox slightly favored probably because Melvin blew out his closer. Hope he puts him in again because that mickey mouse slider won't get any better

Meanwhile Crochet, Bummer, Foster, Marshall, and Heuer have thrown a combined 12 pitches this series.

This broadcast is a complete mess. The announcers don't seem to hear each other. The cameras miss plays. They linger on with interviews that are as disinteresting as they are awkward. If people don't like baseball a female softball player or a quirky on field interview is not going to make them tune in.

This seems to be a hallmark of a booth with Jess Mendoza. The Sunday games with her, Vasgersian, and A-Rod were so odd because all three of them would talk but no one had any rapport with one another. Listening to them was like reading a live chat of a Twitch stream.

I worry that these guys realize how big the moment is. I'm happy there are no fans. It's like a U14 tournament in a giant empty stadium.

I don't want to be overly mean to her, but she sounds like a student trying to read a book report during the broadcast. It's like she gets a point for every tidbit that the stats department has her read. There is zero flow to how she delivers these as she talks over game action all the time. Why is she qualified for this though? It's a very strange position for her to be in. She played an entirely different sport. It's like bringing in the world's greatest female checkers player to comment on a chest tournament because the boards look similar.

She's OK for a broad. I've heard worse males. Tim McCarver, for example.

Why do all women broadcasters suck?

I mean other than Beth Mowins, but she is only good for some shit match-up like Northwestern @ Indiana

ball bounced too hard back to the fielder to score TA there.

Nice shot by Pito though

We need more male voices on the View and Real Housewives. It's just a strange thing to want to shoehorn women into sports broadcasts.

I'm glad they did, removed the DP threat with a hobbled 74

Eloy looked like shit there. Would have been nice to get him some at bats prior to this game.

Fucking Moncada can't buy a hit. Another opportunity wasted.

another hard hit ball from Yoan but it's an out. He's seeing the ball well and making solid contact.

Anyone have the xBA on that one?

Crochet warming so Dunning gets a very short leash

A bit early for my liking. Rather have Foster up next too. He's done very well as an opener. And Dunning is looking fine. Once through the order at least.

Crochet coming in, it's vs a leftie so probably the right move

Sox have a deep pen so use your best pitchers with the best stuff

that was quick... 9 innings of Renteria pitching changes could get interesting.

I like the aggressive pitching change. I hope Crochet can cover more than 6 outs.
