They were in the public eye about the pregancy in the first place, and then TMZ reported she was hospitalized. Seems to be a rather unique situation. The story makes it sound like she did give birth and the child did stay alive for at least a few minutes. But it's not a particularly well written story.

I have a friend and a coworker who each lost children within an hour of birth. One knew it was going to happen about two weeks in advance. The other had no idea, it was something that wasn't able to be known until the baby was out of the womb, and he didn't last an hour.
Neither father has ever been able to really recover. At that point, there's no way of keeping it totally private either.

When I think of these parents, I think about my friend and my coworker.

I would guess a power couple like this has a photographer with them at many times, including the expected happy occasion of the birth of their child, so a produced, professional photo isn't a big surprise to me. I am a complete dunce about social media, but understand it is not uncommon to post what many people consider too much.

Their celebrity hardly reduces the pain they must feel, nor my sympathy.

I certainly hope not. I like brogue and don't think he has any beef with me, but that line got me laffin, babe.
