I'm sure Ricky is a nice guy and all but he's a fucking retard. I'd trust most of the posters on this board to manage a better game than that cocksucker.

First 3-run lead blown in the postseason history of the franchise.

I really thought they were destined for more this year...not a title, but more than this.

Yeah, it was EXACTLY like the season.

This Craig Counsel crap is unforgivable. He PLANNED to have 9 pitchers. Apparently, they all were going to have a good day.

Horrible, horrible umpiring, though. It was really bad.

Nah, this team is reminiscent of the 85 Mets.

please..... more like the 91 WSox.

The 91 team never won anything. Back to the Cubbie section with you.

Like I said before the game, if we lose, I sure hope it's because Renteria botched it. And he did. Right up to the 8th inning when he pinch ran for Grandal. For real, we needed 3 runs in the 8th to have a chance. Lost the DH and had 2 pitchers left.

Ricky never fucking learns. He brings Rodon into a similar situation as the Cleveland game even though he's not a reliever. Ricky says he needs a clean inning for Foster, then brings him in with the bases loaded. Pitch running for Grandal was stupid. So was starting Grandal as the catcher, and Eloy as the DH. He couldn't even make it through a single time on base. And Grandal's shitty defense killed them today.

Would Dunning have given up less than 6 runs in 5 innings? Rather tried that instead of whatever he was doing. There are no fond memories of this shit show season for me. They clinched a spot then coasted. That's on the leaders of the team including the manager. Who in the fuck are they? Multiple time champions that can turn it on and off at will?

Ozzie and Big Frank really letting Ricky have it on the post game show without calling him out by name.

Ozzie also saying he would have gotten a wheelchair out there to use. Said if he revamped is whole lineup because somebody told him he was good, that player was staying in there unless his foot was broken in half.

They were, are and still will be if they don’t correct it , short on pitching and won’t win anything until they get some .

I couldn't watch, but Amen. What in the fuck was that? A sore foot makes you leave the game. Man up.

Hard to say you’re a manager away when you don’t have a #3 starter you trust to go more than 2/3 of an inning, even with no runs allowed.

That said, I’m eagerly awaiting the chance to see another manager

Game 2 is probably a soft tossing righty in Bassit. The currently slow bats should like that option.

This sets up well for the Sox on paper.

It’s why they play the games

Losing to the Marlins will be a great look for the dynasty eh?

I was on calls all afternoon and missed the game even on the radio. Just catching up on the gameday plays.

Whoever came up with that pitching strategy should be fired. A basic sophomore statistics class could prove that it wasn't going to work. Somebody in the bullpen was going to have a bad day.

What happened to Crochet? Why didn't they give him a clean inning?

It is possible that the only team from the 7 Central teams to survive the first round without being swept will be St. Louis, who gets the luck of having both Lamet and Clevinger get hurt for the Padres in the last week of the season.

Ricky said that Crochet had a velocity drop. From 101 to 99. So they were worried. Crochet said he felt fine, but their was "no question" he had to come out. The Sox were not swept.

Yeah, I meant other than the White Sox and fucked up the sentence.

Still a horrible showing. All three AL Central teams out. Reds out. Cubs and Brewers probably out. Just goes to show what an unbalanced schedule with three cupcakes in KC, Pittsburgh, and Detroit can do.

They had 12 fucking hits and scored 4 runs. It was a disgusting performance from their manager. I am so sick of hearing that they are young. The 1993 team was young. They were on the rise. And they never made it back. This team won nothing and all they did was pat themselves on the back for how great of a year it was. Cocky front runners.

forgetting all the meatheadedness but this was a real fun team to watch this year. i loved the offense. Any amount ofruns they were down at any point of a game they always had a great chance of coming back.

Steve Stone apparently said that Dunning's arm was shot. And he is firing on Ricky on Twitter. A whole lot of these:

As for Rodon:

It's important to add in game 2....that's where Ricky really began the fucking up of the series.

Cease should have never been brought in for game 2. He should have been reserved as either the starter or long reliever for game 3.

Ricky completely screwed this series. There's no justification for him returning in 2021.

If Kopech comes back to form their starting pitching will be fine. A good manager is key.

Not just the series. The season too.
Since clinching a playoff spot, he led them to an inexplicable 2-8 record to blow a big division lead then 1-2 in the playoff series.
Ricky felt the pressure as soon as he got the playoff bid. He played from behind from that moment on.
Ricky ain't our guy.

Outside of having great stuff, I don't trust Kopech's mental makeup at all. They'll need to get another quality starter on top of Kopech returning.
