the embarrassing part is they have had no offense last 3 years down the stretch and playoffs. and they did nothing to fix it.

ya it's not important....to them .........or they would have got a legit lead off hitter the last 3 years.

Theo does not think it is important. Said it on the Score after they lost D.Fowler to FA. I remember cursing at the radio in disbelief.

His analytical team told him the lead off spot only comes into play to start the game and that it is overrated.

Not only did they not fix it they let Castellanos go and put back Swarbs in LF. He is a big reason we lost the series against the Marlins. Along with Rizzo and Bryant.

Yeah, the Castellanos thnig still bugs me.
Oh well. Looks like it will finally be the Dodgers' year in a fucked up season.

I can't believe it, but I'm going to agree with Hawaii here. The offense has been the same the last 3 years....unimpressive.

And Theo and Jed have both since recanted that belief. Full admission from both that they were wrong in thinking they could merely install and OBP guy at the top of the lineup and things would be fine.

Theo has made a ton of mistakes but he also tends to recognize them as such down the road. Not excusing him but we should at least be accurate in our criticisms.

With that said, overpaying mediocre talent, not developing pitching and overvaluing most of the teams offensive assets has really put this organization in a deep hole that will take years to work out of
