It’s what haters do. They dismiss the opponent to set up a no win scenario. If the Bears win, it doesn’t really mean anything because the team was bad. If they lose, then they belittle the Bears because the other team sucked.

Every game in the NFL is a dog fight. Each win is precious and each opponent is dangerous.

Against horrid defenses like GB they have a decent chance.

Loser: The Big-Lead-Blowing Lions
Two weeks ago, I wrote about the ongoing battle between the Falcons and the Lions to be the NFL’s Kings of Choking. The Falcons have a flair for the dramatic, with massive, impossible-to-believe blown leads; the Lions are workmanlike, making blown leads a part of their day, like catching the bus in the morning. After the Falcons blew a 15-point fourth-quarter lead for the second-straight week last week, I anointed them the Choking Champs.

But Sunday, the Lions reminded us what they’re made of. They quickly scored the first 14 points of the game, with Matt Stafford sandwiching a Drew Brees interception with two touchdown drives. After that, the Lions allowed five consecutive touchdowns to the Saints, turning a 14-0 lead into a 35-14 deficit.

The Lions have now taken a double-digit lead in three of their four games this year, and lost all three. (They’re actually 1-3, because they managed to win the game where they didn’t have a double-digit lead.) They’ve had a double-digit lead in five of their last six games, dating back to last year and lost all five. They’re the first team in NFL history to blow six consecutive double-digit leads.

Adams and Lazard both out tonight. I don’t like it...feels like a trap. They need the running game to move them down the field and hope to get MVS going. Tonyan and Sternberger should get multiple opportunities which is something I’ve been looking to see.

No April Fools’ joke here, I always loved the Davenpoop-

“Prior to entering the NFL, Davenport allegedly broke into the dorm room of a Barry University woman and defecated in a laundry basket on April 1, 2002.”

What has become of MNF? These announcers are terrible - they’ve called the wrong players names several times already and they literally missed a first down pass while they were showing a replay.

NFL announcing in general has been absolutely awful this season.

If I didn't no better, I'd swear that most of the analysts have been drunk for the Bears games. Then again, maybe that's the only way to watch the Bears.

There are only so many ways you can continue to say "(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky incomplete short to Montgomery"

I would strongly prefer that the Packers not make it to the Super Bowl this year, but they may be the only decent team in the NFC. Seems like it'll be them or Seattle.

The defensive line can see the play clock. They can time their jump when it gets to zero. If they were to snap the ball after the play clock expired the d line would beat the snap and it would be a penalty. This never happens. Total optical illusion.
