I bagged on this signing based on the fact he looked like a washed up piece of shit in Green Bay, but he's looked really good so far as a Bear. Did this dude hit the gym up in the offseason?

Yeah, I figured if Aaron Rodgers couldn't make him look good, he was a lost cause.

He's caught some td but he actually kind of sucks.

incredibly low catch % and the second lowest YPC of his career. Maybe it is on Mitch. He'll get a chance to show.

He's been average, maybe. For all the talk of seeing bad quaterbacking for so long makes Foles look good, I'd say seeing our parade of shit TEs lately makes Graham look good. He's been better than I expected though.

Demetrious Harris looked good receiving yesterday. However, I am placing a rather large part of the better offensive line play to his presence as a blocker.

When is Kmet going to make his presence felt?

Incidentally, I tuned in to the Jaguars-Dolphins game briefly on Thursday.

Play was briefly stopped, and the first thing I saw was a Dolphin writhing in pain on the sideline for reasons that were not explained. Sure enough, the injured player was Adam Shaheen.

Two years from now when he's a backup on the Bengals.

Nagy throwing a WR screen to Demetrious yesterday.

Play calling genius I tell.

it's pretty obvious he's good at catching passes in the end zone.

It's also pretty obvious that he looks like he's running through quicksand outside the TD pad.

He's great as long as he doesn't have to run or jump.

Will be interesting to see if TE's are much more active under Foles who likely will see mismatches and take advantage of the easy 5-7 yard completions that Mitch always left on the field.

THIS

Tied for most TD catches in the NFL.

If he didn't have one over turned, he would be leading the league.

All he does is catch touchdowns.

Yea I'm surprised how good he looks.

Hard to believe he went so south so fast after NO.

so which do you prefer:

graham - $9M guranteeed
foles - cost 4th round pick and gave him $21M guarenteed

or

Cam newton - league minimum

both options involve capable red zone threats

Cam Newton is not running the Bears offense.

Nagy has shown that he is unwilling to modify his system long term, or short term for that matter.

The only answer to your question is Foles and Graham.

I had no idea Big Bob Tonyan was once the star QB for McHenry HS.

If some future hellscape the next Covid variant or new virus comes down 5 years from now and NFL teams are forced to sign guys off the street the day before games, Jimmy Graham will still be able to roll out of bed, post up dbs in the red zone, and catch touchdowns. Not much else, but that for sure.
