With the vig a gambler has to go 55%(some of these new sites don't charge a vig) to break even. You are good if you pick them 60%. 65% is unbeleivable.

Pappy will go 44%. Book it.

HOLY SHIT, you guys weren't kidding. A hundred fucking bucks for him to spew out the bookie priest bit?

This is amazing. I don't get why anyone would spend money on this sort of stuff when you could watch any number of pre-game shows, make informed decisions yourself, and then decide on who you'll bet on with what odds and how much.

If I'm not mistaken, Mike is slowly starting to Morph into Chet Coppock sans the time in NYC.

I tried to check out the website, but I guess the server is crashing as there's so much traffic. I don't have the patience for a site which appears to be hosted from a Park Ridge basement with a 26.6K internet connection to it's server.

Here's the brains of the operation:

Didn't Pappy say he quit sports gambling a while ago? If he was so good at it why did he quit? Nobody quits if they're winning.

Yeah right!!!!

You are freaking kidding, right? That much?

WOW. I was thinking something like this would be in the $5-$10 a month range. Jesus that's insane. Now that I think about it, you know what this means? It means that Mike ACTUALLY believes all the lies and twisted logic he's been spouting the last few months. He really does think he's this revered, this important and has put money down to create this website and he thinks us listeners have him that high on a pedestal that they're going to shell out $100 a month in this economy to get his and the blonde slut's picks. It's sad, not because he's doing this to himself, but because he's dragging other people into it like Fred and Jen. If I didn't despise those two I'd probably care but they deserve any fallout they get for blindly following him.

Shit!!!!

I just figured out what this is. Remember the movie Casino?

DiNero's character was a "betting service" guy to start. Then he got big and ran a casino. He fell from grace and went back to "Selling sports picks" at the end of the movie.

Pappy fancies himself as DiNero.

I didn't think Mr. Irrelevant could continue to provide so much entertainment, but I was wrong. Webmaster Mike is doing a fine job of rapidly sinking into the gutter of desperation. This is great fun to watch!! He was making close to 150k per month, this venture should bring in $1500 a month. I love it when a plan comes together! :pukel:

Ok. He made up those numbers to hook people.

Let's see how the fucker does when it actually counts and he has customers.

I swear, I want to meet the guy who pays for this.

Nobody calls a service for hockey or baseball. Some buy for basketball but it's all about football. That's what people bet heavy on in this country. So his numbers mean shit. You gotta nail football to have people buy your shit.

Baseball, you have odds, not a point spread, so it's different to bet that shit. Most people don't like it. Not enough to pay for a service.

I think because of the odds, a lot of people have a hard time understanding betting on baseball and hockey. Nobody wants to bet what they don't understand unless they're an addict. Basketball and Football are easy to figure out with the point spreads, so that's what people go for, IMO.

Here is the thing about baseball. It's mostly about the starting pitchers.

Brandon Webb Vs Jason Marquis

Shit, everybody knows to bet on Arizona for that game. You don't need a service to tell you that. It's just are you willing to bet 200 to win 100. Or 250 to win 100.

It's baseball. Webb can pitch great and the bullpen could blow it. Maybe the other pitcher matches him.

I'd almost be willing to pay or pitch in to pay for this service just so I can keep track of his picks and success rate. Then compare the real win percentage to what he claims on that front page. I don't care enough though and refuse to give that man any money so I guess I'll never know. Sure would be fun though.

You know what Pappy might do? I wouldn't put this past him. It would actually be smart.

He might be looking in on the "top" gamblers. Paying for their sites. Then, just giving those picks out as his own.

Sure, it's stealing but you can't prove it. Nobody is gonna shed a tear for people getting screwed in this industry. Pappy wants to keep people coming back to him. This would be the best way for Pappy to do it.

So he pays 400 dollars or so a month to see what the pros think. He gives their picks on his service. He'll more than make up for that $400 if people find out Pappy is winning.

Like I said, if Pappy is truley making the picks, he'll be below .500. I would think that Pappy is smart enough to know that he has no idea how to handicap games. It's just a guess to him like it is to many. Maybe he isn't that smart to realize that.

I wonder if the "experts" will be betting their picks, though I doubt it.

If you did decide to subscribe you might be one of his only two customers beside Keeping Score. You'd probably get some exceptionally good personal service. maybe you should reconsider.

How can he say he has a record?
When were these picks made?
How can they be documented?
Bragging about NBA and NHL picks that were made when?
Those seasons have been done for a long time?
Why not post last year's NFL record?
This is a total joke and really should be investigated as
a fraudulent enterprise.

I might pay the 100 a month just to fade his picks.

Ok, like I said before, I dont gamble or understand the whole concept of it, but is this some type of scheme? Everyone knows Mike will make Jens picks, Fred checks in with Mike on his picks and then Mike makes his picks based on the other picks, at worse they break even, does that make sense? I guess my question is that can they make these picks to insure they make money? Coast?

From his site:
Quote:
It has been my dream for a long time to create a simple, straight forward, honest site that is all about results.
There are a few things that I can guarantee, and the main one is: this is me! This is not some guy pretending to be me.
I am proud to be the spokesperson and endorser of this highly professional and easy to use site!

So let me get this straight - he is proud to be the spokesperson and endorser of himself - huh???

I called it, really short vacation.

And what a name for the site, wtf, like make a name that people with remember or is snappy. I just was on it and I can't even remember it now, fademyass.com? sounds like some cheap porn site.

And Mike's mug on there, looks like a complete scumbag.

But the thing that's ironic, like other poster said, mike isn't a computer guy, and I am betting his hardcore fans aren't either. So how the hell are they going to first FIND OUT about this site if they aren't computer people? Also, where is North gonna advertise his site, on Northtonorth where nobody visits?

It's a quick buck for him and he probably see's it as some money for him while he looks for work.

Also, I think most of you guys are right about him moving to Vegas. Actually, that would probably be a good career move for him. If he can get a radio gig in Vegas, he may come off as fresh there while he's pretty much ancient history in chitown.

I guess now he can really be that scumbag Mafioso he's always dreamed about.

I got the answer :

NBA: 24-13 (65%) Units Up: 2,500 - NBA LIVE 08 , xbox360, Mike North's record on Xbox Live.
MLB: 38-27 (58%) Units Up: 2,100 - MLB 2K8 , xbox 360, Mike Norths record on Xbox Live
NHL: 6-2 (75%) Units Up: 900 - NHL 08 , XBOX 360, Mike North's record on Xbox Live

When Madden 09 comes out tomorrow, Mike will be bragging he's 32-0 before the week 1 even gets under way.

Maybe they can bring back Annie to offer some Nascar picks like she did in the Sun-Times.
Those would be worth a c-note a month!
