This is his line of work. He knows the success and failure of some of these sites.

Quenstions for Coast to Coast:

-Will Pappy's name recognition be enough to get customers initially? Are there enough stupid people out there for him to turn a few bucks?

-What do you think of the actual site? How half-ass do you think it is?

-What do the top guys make per year on these sites? Just a guess, Coast. I know you wouldn't actually know.

-Pappy said this was a goal of his. To have a gambling service. You knew him, Coast. You worked with him. Did he ever mention that to you?

-Are the names North, Huebner, and Jen Jen big in the handicapping circle? Kidding. We all know that answer.

We would appreciate your thoughts Coast. Here is Pappy's site

The thing is, this is really "low risk" for North. It's a web site. Not much overhead on this venture.

Think about it, if he just gets 100 people, that's $10,000 a month. That's $120,000 a year. It really adds up. Of course he has to declare this income so maybe he takes 80k. Now, I don't know who would buy this but there might be 100 stupid people out there. Never underestimate the stupid.

He's selling his "Name recognition". There are idiots. There is no down side. You don't have to spend much money to start this site.

Here is Pappy's next goal: Get on some radio shows and start pushing the site. I hope nobody lets him do this. But I'm sure some will. He'll want to go on the MJH show. That's a huge listenership. Score won't let him push this on any of their shows.

Coast is too busy discussing war and peace, not the War and Peace.

I guess in the end it just matters if Pappy can do better than 55%. Really, he'll need to go 60% to keep people. I don't think he can do that. It's tough to do that and Pappy doesn't know what he's doing.

They might let Pappy buy advertisement. I was talking about a free plug. Where he comes on as a guest and pushes the site. Like celebrites at the Super Bowl. They come on as guests and, in return, push something for the company they are working for. North will try to get on shows across the country. Be a guest and sell this thing.

You're right. He has to pay Jen, Fred, and Hub. My God, I can't beleive Jen Jen is a part of this. Like I said, this is North's way of taking care of her. He wants to help here. So she'll do nothing and get a check from this site.

If he is making the picks I don't get why he needs a staff.

I'm pretty sure Hub's services do not come cheap.

That's just it though. What does Hub do? What does Fred do? Do they collaberate on the picks.

Hub gives his picks on the PRO FOOTBALL WEEKLY tv show for free. So why do we need to go to Pappy's site? Hub has said he doesn't know what he's doing for gambling. He just does it for the show. His record proves he doesn't know how to handicap.

I'll bet Hub, Fred and Jen Jen all will get a percentage of the profit. That's how it will work. I just went to the site and they list Jen as an expert!!! What are the reasons that they list? Cuz she can go toe to toe with any man talking sports; Cuz she was a producer of a radio show; Cuz she went to Italy to cover the Olymics.

I just don't know how any hard core gambler (or even a small time gambler) can see that Jen is their "expert" and give this site any credibility. You're gonna pay $100 a month after seeing that little blond girl's profile under the "Expert bar". That is just amazing.

Pretty funny - this coming from a guy who put no research into his picks when giving them on the air.

This coming from a guy who loves Orton and didn't like Peyton Manning that much. That is the guy making the picks.

I said it somewhat sarcastically yesterday but I'm now even more interested in paying for just 1 month and posting his picks and results so we can see if he's lying about his successes.

I wonder how it's done. Is it, after paying, you have access to the "pick page"? Or is it that you will get a personal e mail with the picks.

My Dad told me of the old scams for the Gambling Phone Service sites. Some of them had this scam: This was in the 1980s and 1990s. Before the internet. For their "Number One Play" they would give the East players one team. They would give everybody west of the Mississippi the other team. That way they are guarenteed to have half of the players coming back for the next week.

He should post his record on his site after each week. Usually these type of sites would only post it if it's a good week. Why show people that you did poorly? Your actual customers know you did poorly. Why show it to the people thinking about paying?

He's posting his record right now. But who can trust it before he's actually doing it "for his customers?"

I guess yesterday was the first day he was "ON THE RECORD". He's not showing people who he picked yesterday.

And who thought Luol Deng is or would be a top-five NBA player and shouldn't be traded for Kobe Bryant, so feel free to take advantage of his NBA expertise, too, when investing your hard-earned money.

Oh, and who also thought he was in on a little well-kept secret when he told us about how he all of a sudden discovered Hanley Ramirez was good earlier this year. So he's got baseball nailed.

And hockey? Hell, The Hawks honored him at a game, so he's got all the big sports covered! Sign me up!

How about categorizing your picks - Top plays, Best plays, plays of the week, plays out of my ass, etc. That way when you're picking poorly overall, you can hopefully tout one category that is doing better than the picks overall.

Weren't people posting in the old North section that he would occasionally read box scores that were 2 days old as if they were games played the previous night? Is he going to apply that same attention to detail and accuracy to his picks?

I wonder if Mikey's brother in law Park Ridge Kenny is doing Mikey's research.... remember he was always billed as the best handicapper in the business... 20 straight years of winning !!!!!!

Speaking of Kenny ...where the heck did he go to last time I heard him was maybe 2 yrs ago with Murph.....

I paid for the service and he gave me four great picks yesterday...one loser.

But I made money.

Lets see he had China winning the men's team all-around in gymnastics last night.
He had Misty-May Treanor and Walsh beating the Cubans
He had the Chinese in synchronized diving and
He had the American gymnasts across the board so we got paid for the bronze...pretty much a breakeven bet.

The one he lost on was that he had the Nationals beating the Brewers and they got killed.

He has a three event parlay this weekend for the competitive eating championships in Las Vegas. He won't release that until Friday night.

What a schmuck.

Ok. Pappy does post his record daily. Pappy claimed to go 4-1 yesterday. He doesn't tell you what he played.

Looks like he's gonna list his daily record on the "blog bar" of this site. Here it is.
http://dontfademe.com/blog

It's so fucked up. I guess he's doing the picks but it says the following in this blog. "Don't forget that Jen Patterson, Fred Huebner, Hub Arkush, and the Bookie Priest are involved also." What the fuck? He's giving credit to the blond bimbo and a made up character. Are you fuckin' kidding me? Who is paying $100 for this joke? Plus Hub, who knows baseball? What?

So there we go. He's 4-1 to start his site. So he claims. Easy to say that if you don't have any customers yet.

Hey, until Joe "The Duke" Crispino gives his weekly picks on the Murph Show, no one gets my hard-earned money!

I just love how Pappy tauts his "Season Record" at 63% (55-32 is what he claims) before he launched his site. That gives him a cushion to stay above .500 for a while with his "On the record" picks.

It's just absolutly insane. Ok. We all like jokes but he's asking people to give him $100 per month. I think people want to see him take this serious. He could at least fake it with his web site content. But the fucker actually gave credit to Jen Jen and "The Bookie Priest" for his 4-1 record yesterday.

I think it could be a running joke, reporting his picks after the games are over. Maybe Offman can work it into his updates?

Well, it's baseball. So you have odds. So that is possible. You can lose a 2-1 favorite. You can win a 1-2 dog.
