So let me get this right, pay up a hundo for the info and then be ahead enough to cover that each month AND make a profit?

Irish Boy's spreadsheet sounds like a better investment. That IS a compliment IB!

I understand with incremental units in betting games, but why don't I just keep the hundo and stay making plays with the perverbial Big Tony down at the deli?

Thought the Bookie Rabbi went away since he was not making a profit, besides being just plain stupid.

On a side note and to make this post more interesting by talking aboot myself, the Pick Winners CFB, NFL will return with CFB Week 1 Tuesday Aug. 26th.

I'm stunned. The site is visually stagnant, dark and dreary if you ask me. Fred looks like the creepy uncle at the family wedding everyone tries to avoid. Jen looks like Jen - a twenty something bimbo. Except oddly not as as attractive as someone you label a bimbo should be. I wouldn't ask the two of them for directions, much less pay them for an opinion on a bet.

Why in the hell would anyone join this site based on the introductory information on the site? There's absolutely nothing compelling about it. Where are the free picks, or trial period to entice people to join? Where are the bright cheery "hey we're having fun here cause we're winning" colors? This site makes me feel like I'm at a wake.

He wants to talk all "old school bookie", so he comes across as some sort of streetwise expert, but since he wants to attract newbies, he's forced to put up a glossary. Ridiculous. Does anyone else here want to spend $100.00 a month, and then have to read a glossary so you can understand what the fuck he's talking about?

Also, I don't understand the concept exactly. When he says all picks will be made by the experts, is he talking only of himself, Jen, Fred and Hub? If so, I find that incredulous.

This must be Mike and his VIP room OTB buddies thinking they have something wired.

Successful handicapping translates into an incredible amount of time, research and work doesn't it? I don't believe for a second Mike is willing to do that.

How did Hub get into all of this. Wasn't he above the Score before he joined them back when he was at WGN.

I saw Norths intro vid, what a disaster, looked and sounded like he was hung over. Well maybe he looks and sounds like that all the time.

I can't get any work done. I can't stop laughing over the inanity of this goof asking you to plunk down $100 a month for these "expert" picks and then you click on the "experts" tab and see that picture and read that bio of Jen-Jen. It's too funny!

I'll say this for Mikey--if laughter is really the best medicine, then thanks to him, nothing is ailing me right now.

Do you think this effectively kills any chance he has of working with a professional or college sports team? Is this him throwing in the towel on these types of opportunities? How do you think his high school athletic department views this? There is somewhat of a sleaze factor here isn't there?

Ah, yes, further kudos to that venerable institution of Catholic learning, Notre Dame High School, for their great assistant basketball coach who, on one website, sells t-shirts celebrating Steak & Blow-Job Day and on another, offers gambling tips as the Bookie Priest.

I take this site as proof that most or all sports teams have already passed on him or haven't given his stale act the time of day. This was a last resort.

Hi Folks,

Last night was our first night on DontFadeMe.Com. We went 4-1 and the pressure was on to produce. The site looks great and Jen and Fred are involved also. Fred and Hub Arkush will make their picks starting in a week or two to get ready for the regular season in the NFL. The Bookie Priest also will start his picks shortly. Check the site out when you get a chance. DontFadeMe.Com

Thanks Guys. Talk to you soon.

Mike

I can't stop laughing at this, either. I got news for you, Mr. Jag Bag--if anyone out there wanted to start a gambling website that would make money based at least partially on the credibility, intelligence, integrity, and reputation of the guy making the picks, you are the LAST person anyone would want to pretend to be. Your bio itself is filled with nothing but lies. I wouldn't trust you to make a pick if USC was playing the Hadley School for the Blind.

MEET THE EXPERTS
MIKE NORTH
Image
He's the epitome of the American dream. Mike North is what happens when you accept nothing less than your best every time you step up to the plate . . . or in Mike's case . . . the mic.

Mike's career in sports started nearly forty years ago when he landed a job as a hot dog vendor at Wrigley Field and Comiskey Park. After a stint in the military and a handful of jobs with the City of Chicago, Mike and his wife Bebe went into business for themselves in 1985 opening their own hot dog stand, Be-Be's. Located around the corner from WXRT-FM and WSBC-AM, the owners and staff management were frequent customers. After a number of dogs and a side order of convincing, North launched the "NFL Handicap Show" on WSBC-AM in 1990.

That continued until those same owners launched Chicago's first sports radio station, WSCR-AM "The Score" Sports Radio where President Danny Lee paired Mike with former Chicago Bear Dan Jiggetts as the weekday midday show. Mike's straightforward style connected with fans and athletes alike, and it wasn't long until Mike became the station's most popular host as well as a lightning rod for sports interest in Chicago.

In addition to his radio career, Mike has also enjoyed a successful television career with his weekly sports talk television show which first aired on WJYS-TV (Channel 62), Chicago's CBS affiliate (WBBM-TV) and then finally CLTV.

Mike's tenure at "The Score" lasted 16 and a half years culminating in the summer of 2008 when, after four years of solo hosting one of Chicago's top rated morning shows, he opted to leave radio behind to focus on his true love of handicapping sports. As anybody who knows Mike knows, he's not all talk. We tracked Mike for 100 games during the NBA and NFL season. He went 68-32 during that period. That convinced us- he's our go to guy.

Image
JEN PATTERSON
Yes, she's gorgeous, but don't dismiss Jen Patterson as that beautiful blonde who smiled and winked her way to the top. In fact, nearly any guy who has gone toe to toe with her has come out of that conversation shaking his head, amazed that they met a woman who knew more about sports than they did.

"I remember not only was she a lot of fun to talk to, this girl knew her stuff when it came to sports," says North who discovered Jen in Chicago back in 2002. "The girl's got some spunk when it comes to sports."

With a resume that includes integral positions on such high profile stations with major league colleagues such as Fox Sports, Comcast SportsNet, WSCR-AM (The Score), Doug Buffone, Joe Buck and Tim McCarver, Jen has proven quickly and repeatedly to the best in the business that when it comes to sports - she's knows her stuff.

Jen's star continued to rise in 2006 when The Score sent her to Italy to cover the 2006 Olympics. Soon after, when Mike was asked to helm The Score's coveted morning show slot, he asked Jen to join his all-star team as Associate Producer. Before long Jen was promoted to Executive Producer as well as being featured as an on-air personality.

Her tenure on the show and at the station lasted 4 years, ending when Mike chose to leave the station and she chose to follow the Mike as he struck out on his own.

Image
FRED HUEBNER
Few professional handicappers can boast a resume as impressive as Fred Huebner's. He began his career in sports in 1977 as the voice behind the one and only source for sports scores in Chicago, SportsPhone.

By 1992 Fred had made his way onto the airwaves working for the station that would become the Chicago sports monster we know today as WSCR-AM The Score. One of the initial hires, Fred began his radio career handling a variety of duties ranging from producing to on-air updates.

As the years went by, Fred's roles continued to expand as management continued to lean on his immense talent and sports knowledge. By 2004 he had landed a gig as a lead on-air personality when Mike North invited him to become a permanent part of the Mike North Morning Show.

Drawing on his intimate knowledge garnered from covering sports professionally for the past thirty years, Fred is now here to share that wealth of knowledge with you!

His resume and his record speaks for itself. Many so called "expert" handicappers claim to live and breathe sports. Fred Huebner has thousands of hours of tape to prove it. Fred knows the ins and outs of every pitch, every touchdown and every basket. His information and insight will make you a winner!

Hub Arkush
Hub Arkush is the editor and publisher of PRO FOOTBALL WEEKLY, America's largest publication devoted exclusively to professional football.

Hub became the color commentator on Chicago Bears Radio Network in 1987 where he broadcast Bears games through the 2004 football season. He is currently the Senior Football Analyst for WSCR sports radio in Chicago.

Hub created and syndicated PRO FOOTBALL WEEKLY on radio in 1987. Co-hosted by Hub and Wayne Larrivee, the voice of the Green Bay Packers, it's an hour-long football show airing 52 weeks a year on over 100 radio stations.

In 1988 Hub created and produced PRO FOOTBALL WEEKLY ON TV, which is currently airing on Comcast Sports Net three times a week.

Over the years Hub has received numerous awards for his work, including the Peter Lisagor Award for Sports Journalism.

What a terrible thing to say. Not one of us here ever insinuated that she smiled and winked her way to the top. We all think that much more than smiling and winking was involved.

Open question to Jen-Jen:

In the Daily Herald you were quoted as saying one of the reasons you left the Score was because "they just wanted me to use my femininity . . ." I now see that your bio on the new North website couldn't get past twelve words without referring to you as "gorgeous" and "a beautiful blond." Which is it? If you do not wish your employers to have you "use your femininity," why didn't you demand that your bio cut the fluff and refer strictly to your vast knowledge of handicapping, your experience as a professional handicapper, and why I should invest $100 a month with you?

What was he betting that he went 4-1 on? Baseball? You can't state your record like that and have it mean anything meaningful. You need to let us know how many units of profit you made. It's not like football or basketball where there is a spread.

I'll happily pick every MLB game that is -250 or higher and I pretty much guarantee I will have picked more right than wrong.

Also, is North signed up with a bet monitoring service? Something like BigGuy.com, so we can verify independently that his results are accurate? This thing is a big time joke.

I think North said that since all his picks will be available to everyone, you can follow along and verify his record.

This just in:

Greenberg and Golic started up a new gambling website, too, and it already drew more hits today from 6-9 AM than North's.

In his mind, he had the Sox radio analyst job pretty much nailed down a few years ago until he "took himself out of the running to concentrate on improving the morning show." Hmmm, how'd that go?
