Is this a new movie?

Technically, no.

It’s going to look like a new movie tho, because I guess Joss Whedon and the previous Warner Brothers regime didn’t use 70% of what Snyder shot before he left the production.

As you can see, MANY character designs and side plots were not used.

It will be released on HBO Max in 2021.

They are not sure if it’s going to be a six hour mini series or something like a 3 1/2 or 4 hour movie.

I’m willing to give Leto another chance after finding out he was supposed to have a much bigger role in Suicide Squad until the studio interfered with the film.

I didn’t hate Leto’s joker. I don’t think he really got enough screen time to hate, but whatever. He wasn’t good, but he seemed to fit Robbie’s Harley Quinn.

My biggest beef with this whole franchise is making a Brit Superman. He’s the quintessential American hero and DC hired a zero charisma limey to play the part.

I like Cavill as Superman.

He’s a big time nerd, and is supposedly a BIGFAN of Superman lore.

He also is not a fan of the dark and brooding Superman that Snyder has him playing.

He wants the hopeful Superman that is most prevalent in the comics.

Apparently, he may get his way with that vision as he recently signed on for 3 more films/appearances.

I don’t hate the actor - loved him in Tudors - just a bit jingoistic when it comes to this particular supe. I also have an extreme soft spot for earnest goodness, so I like the idea of his approach to the character (but would prefer the guy playing him actually came from Kansas).

Have you seen “The Man From U.N.C.L.E”?

I like the movie, and think Cavill gives a good performance as an American spy.

Hopefully, he can change your mind if he gets his way with the presentation of his Superman character.

I have. Not a bad movie. Cavill carries it for the most part, but I can’t stand Arnie hammer in almost any role.

He was decent as the bad guy in the mission impossible movie too.

He’s very good as Geralt as well.

Especially the sword fight scenes.

I think Mads Mikkelsen would have nailed the look of Geralt, but you can tell Cavill really likes playing the character.

Who wouldn’t if they could see Anya Chalotra’s tits up close?

I haven’t seen Witcher, but heard good things. With his look from the promo stuff I’ve seen, I thought he could’ve made an awesome Targaryen in the prequel.

I read the other day that about half of it will be new footage, so half will be stuff we’ve seen before but presented in a totally different context.

It’ll be different trying to square those two things, but I’m looking forward to it.

as a child I was a massive DC fan. So yes, watching him butcher one DC movie after another he definitely hurt the child in me.

Yeah BvS was underwhelming, but the shit sandwich that we were served in the first Justice League was heavily tampered with by the studio.

It was a Joss Whedon movie.

Snyder had originally wanted to do 2 or 3 JL movies with Darkseid as the main villain.

I still have hope.
