If Nagy were more creative, he would have found a way to get (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky in for a little bit even if he's going in there to do plays designed to let him run it with the possibility of him throwing it.

Mitch is not the QB of the future. He is a serviceable backup, at best.

So get what you can for him and move on. You can get another three years out of Foles, and need to draft one or two QBs (because you won’t have a high pick) until he’s done.

F-Ing Bears will never have a franchise QB.

Pace would probably never trade Mitch because it would be admitting failure. Ironically, getting some draft picks for the team and some cash saved for the McCaskey’s could save his job.

Pace has already admitted failure in that Mitch isn’t starting, and Pace has not offered an extension.

The Bears SHOULD trade Mitch IF they can get anything back for him - even as low as a 4 or 5; otherwise, since Pace screwed up huge with the selection of Mitch, Pace is gonna try to hold everything together to get as many wins as possible to get into the playoffs this season to save his job.

Foles is not playing any better than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky though. If (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky isn't the future then Foles shouldn't be either.

Definitely. I watched a video with mike leach talking about how he decided what QBs to recruit and accuracy was at top of his list. Other things are nice, but accuracy is most important

Wasn't Mitch drafted due to his accuracy?

Maybe accuracy can't be taught, but it looks like Nagy has figured out a way to teach inaccuracy. Go Bears!
I remember Parkins - when he was still backing Mitch - saying that "we know Mitch is accurate. He showed that in college."

is the NFL just too much for him then? or did nagy fucking ruin him?

Nagy didn’t ruin him. I’m sure that Nagy knew what Mitch was, and tried to make chicken salad out of chicken shit while trying to keep up the positive public face.

Mitch has proven he just isn’t an NFL starter.

I’m not sure on this, but I think the Bears control Foles longer than Mitch.

If you consider them equal, get what you can for Mitch.

It's Jerry and Stephen Jones, together the Isiah Thomas of NFL front-offices. Ask for a 1st + a future 3rd. and then they'll feel like they won when they give up a 2nd and a future 4th for (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky.

Why would the Cowboys want to win at this point? They are in the Trevor sweepstakes.

have not really followed the bears closely.

so is it a done deal? Foles is the starting qb for the rest of the season? Mitch is officially the backup?

Foles is playing better..no matter how many times you type it..it won't come true.

There's only one front office numbnuts that would trade anything significant for Mitch, unfortunately he's our GM.

Statistically, Foles is slightly worse and will have to play better to be better than 2019 (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. That's why I kept on asking if anyone was willing to say Foles would be significantly better than 2019 (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky and no one did.

I’d think they’d have to keep Mitch with Foles’ history. However shitty or not you think Mitch is, they have won with him.

You seem to love Mitch. He is no better than Foles, but has more trade value. Get some picks for him.

I want (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky gone next year. It doesn't change the reality that Foles is slightly worse overall and pretty equal as a passer and we are crossing our fingers he regains the ability he had for one good season a long time ago and then a good playoff run.

So if you want Mitch gone, isn’t now the time to get some value from a desperate team? Seems like we’re in agreement on this.

He's been benched and is a free agent after this year. Mitch has no value currently

Yup. It's comical to hear what meatballs are willing to give up or take in return for a player. It's always completely unrealistic. Nas' "offer" for Jalen Ramsey was ridiculous, but I'll be damned if I can remember what it was.

Hopefully the Bears can trade (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky for the top pitching prospect teams were offering for McCann.

FF—I think you’re trolling. You are not a Bears fan, but posting in the Bears thread to get a reaction. This happens to be about Mitch, but you have a rich history of trolling any positive Bears thoughts.

Great for you. I would prefer you post in the Green Bay message boards, but apparently you’ve bought enough booze and weed for the guys here that they give you a pass.

I would just rather have Bears meatball thoughts with other meatballs.

Good for you, chase away more posters.

I'm just going on my eyes, the Bears move the ball better with Foles. I'm assumythe T.O.P. is up and yardage..that let's the D catch their breath.
