he's an improvement, but I think there were better candidates out there and that's what bothers me about this hire.

I mean La Russa probably wins the Oakland series if he's handling it, but I think Hinch and Cora are better still.

I think he's going for one title and off into the sunset. I think the move is a great sign that they are about to spend and go for it next year. Reinsdorf wants a final chapter that rights wrongs from his earlier mistakes.

I have thought the only way Hahn could be on board with this is if Jirschle was his bench coach, grooming for a takeover in 3 years.
