I dont get how rankings are done in this season of CFB.

Specifically, when you had just one or two conferences playing in September, are rankings including teams from conferences not yet playing (e.g., Big 10, Pac 10)?

For example, is your top 25 ONLY teams from the conferences actually playin'?

Then , lets say when the Big 10 starts playing a couple weeks back, are they added to the rankings? Say Wisconsin and Michigan?

Somebody explain how they are handlin' this.
