Blackout Wednesday -

25 November 2020. Blackout Wednesday (also known as Black Wednesday, Drinksgiving, Thanksgiving Eve, Wacky Wednesday, Whiskey Wednesday, Awkward Wednesday, or Big Wednesday) is a term for the night before the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States.

Anyone celebrate this? First I have heard of it. If you do, what is some of your "Wacky Wednesday" stories?

Getting supremely wasted on barrel aged stouts and sours and having the absolute worst hangover and shits the following day.

Same for me but it wasn't on Blackout Wednesday. Was my first night out after my divorce and the waitress kept serving me different color shots in test tubes.

She was cute and I was already buzzed from the Jagerbombs so I tried them all. Blue, Red, Green and Yellow. Then a friend I was with asked me to try a peppermint schnapp. Work drink ever.

Next day I had the worst hangover ever and could barely make it to the tiolet to puke. Learned my lesson to NEVER mix my drinks.

I miss the days when I got drunk and the room would start spinning. All I get now is a weak high and horrible hangovers. Why bother? Youth is very underrated. Adulthood is highly overrated.

Still getting fucked up. Now it’s getting hammered on a bottle of Cooper’s hawk anniversary double bottle and cooking with the kids. Miss the days of staggering home at 4-5 am to see mom put the turkey in the oven.

Just wait. I'm in my late 40's and the room still spins..... If I get up too fast. :D

Ive gotten hammered on MANY balck Wednesdays, but never actively celebrated it. It was more so just drinking because I didn't have work the next day.

9th year in a row were having drinks and watching 'Planes Trains and Automobiles' on Thanksgiving eve.

Loved this day in my 20s, especially the college years. Come home from school and seemingly everyone is out and extemly forgiving of past slights, especially the women. There were several times I was out until 4. Then I'd sleep until gluttonous dinner, nap and then eat dessert. I didn't even care that much about sleeping through football. I never understood how young people could get up for turkey bowls when there was so much fun to be had the night before.
