Trevor and Fields appear to be going 1-2 in the draft. Can a 5 win season get us high enough to get Wilson?

does it matter? this franchise fucks qb's up.

Remember when Wanne was coach we could have got Payton Manning if he tanked the rest of the season? but no, they won 2 out of the last 5 meaningless games.

THATS BEARS!

I would think so, but there is no sense drafting a QB in R1 this year with the worst offensive line in the history of football.

They need to spend every damn pick on offensive line, and sign a couple high priced offensive linemen in free agency.

Then the year after that draft Dillon Gabriel, and then multiple Super Bowls my friend.

I think Wilson goes 3rd QB taken.. 10th -11th overall pick. It'll be close. Maybe a Trey Lance in the second.

I think Sewell goes #2.. Im not a believer in Fields.. Id take 4 or 5 guys over him in this QB draft.

Wilson throws a real good ball. I have watched too much BYU football this year. I think he will be good.

Def has an NFL arm.

I haven’t watched much BYU this year, but I do think he is very good.

It’s just the offensive line that would be my priority this offseason.

Maybe see if Kellen Mond drops to the 2nd or 3rd round, and then taking a chance on him is one of the only scenarios I would want the Bears to take a QB next April.

This team needs a left tackle with that early teens first round pick. And a right tackle with their next pick.

Yep.

All picks should be offensive linemen.

It’s that urgent.

I won't go that far. I think they need to draft linebackers in the 3rd and 4th rounds to both spruce up the special teams and fight to take over from Travathan.

But I think all their picks need to be inside the hash marks: linemen, linebackers, a running back, and a punt returner.

If the Bears have the opportunity to draft Wilson they should take him. They can find a T and a G in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. There's only one elite grade tackle in the draft and he'll be gone to the Bengals. Cosmi should be a good player but Wilson could be a franchise QB.

That pass was more than 58 yards in the air

This is exactly right. They def need help on the line, and should invest heavily on that, but if you can get a good QB first then you do it.

Maybe its wishful thinking but Mustipher and Barrs appear to me to be playing pretty well. The OL might be ok on the interior with Daniels back next year. OT on both sides are a mess.

Wait and see on all these college QB until after the combine. There will undoubtedly be some guys we aren't considering.

It’s way too early for all this, but according to this CBS draft ranking list there are a handful of late 1st round quality OT to choose from.

Sewell will def be gone to Cincy like you said, but if Wilson is gone by the time the Bears pick are you ok with trading down into the 20s to draft a tackle?

Yes.

The pick should without a doubt be offensive tackle in the first round.

Prime OL beef is what they should be drafting.

Then Prime interior DL beef. Look how their D drops off with the subtraction of just one guy...Hicks.

Draft a QB next year or the year after.

Resign Mitch for as little as possible.

Fire Nagy.

Honestly, after that draft order Hussra just posted I don’t know if there is going to be any quality QB talent worthy of a 2nd or 3rd round pick left after the top half of the 1st round.

I’m with you on the OL beef.

However, don’t forget Goldman opted out this season.

Their depth isn’t all that bad if they have him.

Yeah except 3/4 of those teams won’t don’t really need a QB next year and almost certainly won’t draft one in the 1st round.

So maybe 8 teams need QBs?

Are you agreeing with me?

Ok you edited from less than half.

So maybe 5 teams need QBs?

Are you agreeing with me?

I agree that (at least) 5 need qbs but 5 won’t take qbs.

Lawrence
Fields
Wilson
Lance
Trask
Mond
Jones

I feel like I’m forgetting someone.

Maybe the Bears will have a shot at Trask, Mond, or Jones.

IMO if you can’t land one of the top 3 or 4 then you wait until later rounds or next year.

The offensive line is by far the biggest issue on the Bears.

I honestly don’t even want them to draft a 1st round QB this year.

This. it's much easier to build an offensive line than it is to find the magic elite QB. A good offensive line can make an average QB look above average. I wish the Bears would pursue this angle.
