Series finale next week? wow that was a fast - only 6 episodes.

My guess is that Henry found the mallet somewhere in his house (or the grandfather's house) and that he is protecting a family member, just as he did with his father vis a vis discovery of the affair. I think it's likely that Nicole Kidman is the killer. While somewhat ambiguous, the opening credits seem to point in that direction (at the very least, she knows who the killer is but has repressed that knowledge from her conscious memory).

It was pretty weak but I wouldn't go that far. My expectations were a lot higher for True Detective.

That was disappointing. And the fact that the murder weapon was hidden and not disposed of (next to a lake that it could have been tossed it into) was just stupid.

It sucked balls from the minute the hammer was found to the very end. So 5-7/8 hours of entertainment got shabbily ruined.

What was wrong with True Detectives Finale ?

When shows reach those epic highs that TD1 did people aren’t gonna be happy with the ending, regardless. Especially in 10 episodes.

The finale was fine.

What were people wanting?

As far as the Undoing goes...the show started to become...undone...around episode 4.

I’m all for twists and turns. But these were just empty show filler.

Great cast. Poor writing.

But that yielded the best line of the entire show, the one where his lawyer calls him a fucking idiot for failing to get rid of the murder weapon.

This show fucking sucked.

NONE of the courtroom stuff made any sense. Both the prosecutor and the defense lawyer made some insane choices on who to call to the stand. No way in hell is a 10 year old being called to the stand. Doubly so when that 10 year old's mom was brutally murdered. And apparently the kid was on the state's witness list?!?!?!?!? Why? What possible information would the state need the kid to provide. Dumb as shit.

I can forgive a lot of improper procedure for the sake of dramatic tension, but these choices made zero sense.
